I have just suffered another month of calf troubles, yet again. I think I am now over it, and I have come to the conclusion that most of the injuries I have sustained have been caused by running tense and pushing myself. I must admit it has taken me a long time to actually reach this conclusion...
I ran 6.7K earlier today, ran relaxed, didn't push it and I was hardly any slower that I had been previously and as an added bonus I enjoyed the run more and I wasn't out of breath.
So my lesson is to stop chasing a faster KM time, 5 - 10 seconds here or there makes absolutely no difference at all in the long run.
Cheers
V.

Visionon well done for finding your remedy! Your relaxed speed would make my eyes water, I’m sure. I think you’re going to surprise yourself with your new approach and get those faster runs now that it doesn’t matter quite so much. You’re a great runner! 😉❤️
