The reason I started C25K last year was to eventually run a half marathon to fund raise for a small local charity that's close to my heart - managed, with others, by my daughter for autistic young people and their families. Injury prevented the half marathon last February, but yesterday I did the Brighton Marathon 10K.

So all those out there starting on their C25K, it's amazing and opens up possibilities that you probably never dreamed were possible. There's a whole new world of opportunity and fun out there, it's free and it's up for grabs. And by the way, secret, I'm in my 70s....don't tell anyone, please πŸ˜‚...it can be done, age is not a factor, it's just a number πŸ™ƒπŸŽ‰

Happy running everyone 🌻

Well done. I hope you raised a lot of money. I agree about the age thing. It’s just a number. I’m 66 and have only been running about 5 months. But love it.

I did...made the run even sweeter! Mind you, my right knee isn't happy today - it'll be fine tomorrow πŸ™‚

Wonderful! Well done on your 10k.πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ… Having worked with adults with autism for 10 years when I was younger - that sounds like a great charity too!

Well done - fantastic achievement! Having managed services for children & young people with SEN & disabilities until my retirement last year, I know how important is the work your daughter and others do. πŸ‘πŸŽ‰

Thank you for your comments. Yes I'm immensely proud of the work my daughter and her colleagues do. They are making a real positive change in the lives of the affected young people and their families.
