Greetings runners.I've had a very slack few months. I've had some good some reasons for not getting out but many really pathetic excuses whilst being aware that motivation was slipping perilously. But.... this morning I've made a promise to myself. Get back out there, see the Spring from my running shoes and aim for a 10k race this summer (the pink one!) So if anyone is reading this and is in need of a nudge, go on do it! It feels good to have stopped the slide back to the couch...have a good day.
Da Doo Run Run in the Spring: Greetings... - Bridge to 10K
Da Doo Run Run in the Spring

The less you do, the easier it becomes to do less. Thatโs really why I joined a club. There sheer embarrassment of not turning up for a run and feeling I need to find an excuse โplease miss, I didnโt do my homework because.....!โ Makes me go out when itโs a bit cold or rainy or misty. Once Iโm out the front door, Iโm fine. Sometimes the motivation just isnโt there and the thought of people waiting for me does the trick. Good luck, glad to see youโre back in the game now!๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐

Good to see you out there again Empem. You canโt get new shoes if you donโt run in the ones youโve got ๐คฃ๐๐

Welcome back. Just in time to see spring happen, perfect timing. Wishing you lots of lovely runs ๐โโ๏ธ

Well done for setting yourself a new goal - it's definitely warming up out there!๐ ๐

It's so easy to lose motivation in winter - I personally just want to eat and sleep. But spring is here! Time to wake up! You've timed your comeback perfectly!
