Good Monday morning to you guys, I hope this finds you all well, my Mother’s Day present from the hubster and kids was a gait analysis and brand new pair of hoka trainers! After years of being a devout Saucony wearer I have now flipped to the dark side!, did a wee 6 miler with my friend yesterday, everything feels good!! We’re doing a leg of the Belfast marathon then a big run of 10 miles in Rathlin Island in August, so can’t wait to see how these bad boys hold out!!
Happy Monday and happy running to all of you out there and before I go, here’s a wee pic of them before the mud and dog gets at them

Thank you old floss, not quite at half marathon standard but def getting there!! Apparently my left leg is neutral and my right leg over pronates!! I don’t do things by halves, any more half marathons in the offing?!?
Hi jell 6 do you find they help you? My foot felt quite lifted when I tried these on, any other time I could feel my feet collapsing inward here’s hoping!!!
They have certainly fixed my knee problem the wear on my left shoe is considerably more than on the right, but I also have a strange "girly leg flick " going on with my left leg 😐🤣, so they manage my issues rather than fix them.
Ha ha.. no, not for a while I don't think. I disliked having to run in a certain way in the training for it... I enjoy running when and how, and for as long as I feel... I worried too about getting the longer runs in when the weather closed in after Christmas... until Bluebirdrunner reminded me to relax and just enjoy.
I have got a 10K race in September and I love that distance, so, for now, I am content.
You will do whatever you feel is right for you and you will be awesome!
Ooo hello beauties! 😍😍😍 They certainly are lovely and clean aren’t they? I hope they give you many miles of happy comfy running! 🏃♀️🏃♀️
I was sad when my gorgeous new Brooks got dirty - so I bought a spare pair on sale on Amazon! They were a very good price and they were imploring for a new home. How could I resist? 😈
Ha ha hey cheeky how are ya?!? Indeed they are lovely and clean, I have run club at 6.30 so they’re bound to get a bit more scuffed, my Saucony trainers just aren’t doing what they need to do, I just use them for gym and doggo walks.
Have you any more runs in the distance? I have a leg of Belfast marathon plus a few others, it’ll be a busy few months, at least the nights are brighter!
Great as always to hear from you, you and your doggo would have loved waggy races last week on portstewart strand, a girl I work with did it with her dogs it was a great day!!
Waggy races! 😅😅😅😅 Oh I’d have definitely brought my dog along to that. It sounds such fun! 🐕🐕
Hope your run club run went well and your new beauties still look gorgeous! 😍🏃♀️
I do have a race approaching actually (and whenever I type that I get massive 🦋🦋🦋) - I have the Bristol 10k on May 5th, my first ever race! I’m so excited! 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Hope all yours go well. I’m sure they will. 😀 Yes, the longer days make a huge difference don’t they? Happy running Walshy! 😀
Oh they’re still that colour! Fortunately it’s been really dry over here, the weathers been lovely, it’ll have to come to an end sometime, 😩, my feet are still getting used to them , and hey , it’s better late to the party than never!!!
