Don’t worry about the time (I know I’m a snail!) but check out that distance ☺️ . I’m so pleased with my 7k this morning, I feel like the 10k is really in sight now and achievable by the time Manchester 10k comes around (May).
How’s everyone else doing on the plan?

Nice one Glossy!! Brilliant news on the 7K!! Once we start ticking off these longer distances, 10k does seem within our sights. I’m running the Manchester 10k too - just a couple of runs to go on Ju-ju’s plan. I’d never have thought it possible!
I should be doing 6km this week but I’ve had a couple of really horrible hard runs recently and am doing a 5k race this weekend so I might hang on for a week. 10k seems a million miles away at the moment.
Nice to see your speed though, I run at a very similar pace!
Brilliant Glossy , fantastic distance and that's a very respectable time...and a pace you should stick to, no point rushing it and tiring yourself out before the end is there??!! It's your run so enjoy it at your own speed x
Thanks Mummycav!! I’m not too concerned about speed, it’s the distance I want to work on. Although I wouldn’t mind improving my park run time by a weeny bit!
That's the way...I think building distance rather than speed is best...and then if speed happens, it happens naturally....and I think we'd all like to knock a bit off our park run time if we're honest wouldn't we?? I'm sure you will get quicker at that once your distance had got up to 10k x
Well done, I think the 7k run is a bit of a turning point. You start believing that you can do it. Don’t you worry about pace at this stage; slow is good. 🐌🐌
My time is around that too. Occasionally a little faster, sometimes a little slower but I’m comfortable at that speed and I’m still running around the 7k mark too. My first 10k last year was 82 mins @8.11 so I’d be happy with your speed and build up gradually if you want to.
I’m just trying to run at least 3 times a week and struggling with that THIS year. Last year before my injury I was running alternate days and desperate to do more!!!
Hopefully the nice weather will appear soon, although we don’t want it too hot!
7k would be awesome, well done your an inspiration. I’ve just finished a 5k jog, my speed was 8.06 km, am knackered, but happy I managed to do it. I hope the speed will improve as I go on, but for now am trying to focus on 3 x 5k a week. Well, that’s the plan lol.
