Had a good Keswick Parkrun this morning, missed my PR by 9 seconds😢
By all reports missing last week was a 'good idea'. There was some talk about whether breast stroke or crawl were fastest. Caught up a friend from a previous run, and we chatted for a bit. So I'll blame her for missing the PR. 😅
My other two runs were a 5Km on Monday afternoon, and a 7Km that I stretched to 8.5Km on Wednesday. I thought about another 10Km, but couldn't face the extra two hills. The photo is from the 8.5Km run, as Bilbo says 'the road goes ever on and on...', or in my case '...ever on and UP'.
On Thursday I had a bit of a chest pain (along with the hip and knee, but that's normal), which was worrying, but it had gone by the evening. Oddly enough the pre-race briefing at Parkrun mentioned where the defibrillator was kept... If I have any recurrence I'll be off to the doc, but I had a ECG only a few months back, and all was good.
Now next week....
Hope your runs are good!

Well done to you "theoldfellow" on once again running a sub 31 minute 5K parkrun at Keswick, you must be getting a little flustrating not getting below that magic 30 minutes, you are so close to that.
I noticed that 90+ year old man ran this morning at around 41 minutes giving him an Age grade of 80.47%, if you see him give him a hearty congratulations from everyone here on C25K.
I congratulate him as we pass. He is going up to the turning point, as I go down. One of the benefits of an out and back course is that you get to see everyone.
Well done theoldfellow. I know how you feel, I chatted to someone in the 4th km and it was only when I looked at my watch I realised my pace had dropped to 7 and that cost me a PB for sure. But hey it’s nice to share stories and meet new people. No wind today, it was bliss.
Well done TOF - sounds like a good week. I too missed a PB (by 1 second!) yesterday at parkrun, but it was a very enjoyable run and that's what counts! 😀
