Two runs this week. I ran 5k in my new knee length compression socks. They were a bit too thin, and my feet were ever so slightly achey afterwards. My second run was for 45 minutes, no problems, woohoo! 6.4k, great. Until later, my ankle was really aching by the evening and still sore this morning. Seems to be easing off again now, but I guess I'll need to ease up for a few days π I've signed up for a 10k on December 1st, so I've got to be careful. What a nuisance! Autumn woods were lovely though.

Well done on your runs this week! Bloomin ankles are so troublesome! Iβm currently resting mine too π So frustrating!
Isn't it though! I'm at the age where bits ache anyway, sometimes it's hard to judge when it's a *run it off* ache, and when it's time to take a rest. π¬ I just want to run, fingers crossed for us bothπ€
Looks like a lovely spot to run. Hope the ankle improves quickly. ππππΌββοΈ
Well done on your distance there grumpyoldgirl ...youβve done well with your two runs both very respectable distances! Rest that ankle though GOG, you need to be ready for the 10k x
Nice runs grumps. I often get a bit of an ankle niggle at the end of longer runs. Seems to disappear within a day and responds well to my daily leg exercises. Hopefully just a minor twinge π
Thanks BC, hoping an extra rest day will do the trick! I'm used to niggles, so it took me by surprise when it really hurt afterwards. Because it was ok on the run π
Well done GOG - keep an eye on those ankles in the run upπ to the 10k though!
Love the autumn leaves, rest that ankle and you will be fine for the 10k
Well done and good luck with your 10K run.
