Loving my birthday gift.

My offspring clubbed together to buy me AfterShokz headphones for my birthday. Trying them on a run was rudely interrupted by storm Hannah

Today they had their first outing. Amazing, I could even hear the birds singing around me but still had music.

I made the mistake of saying to dog walkers I meet regularly, it's not raining. Blooming weather witch of the north must have been listening as at 4k heavens opened, horizontal rain off the estuary.

Soaked again, Flara you might like it wild but I am sick of getting wet.

I managed 6k, more than I have done in last few weeks. Roll on spring

Running with a pirate next weekend.

Cat crew looking forward to seeing you again.

Well done on your 6k, and glad to hear your new ears are good 😊 The weather is looking a lot calmer down here today, would be running if it wasn't for butt pain again. Foam rolling today🙄 Wouldnt mind a bit of mad weather for tomorrow, hope it settles down for you though 🤗🦋 Happy running with pirates and felines next weekend 🙌💫

Hope you are soon on the mend. A pain in the arse is a pain in the arse.

I am struggling to do much in the way of distance. I can not believe I could run 10k at Christmas and now back to struggling to do much more than 5k. I will commit to a programme as soon as I can be sure to find time to run for longer.

Will let you know how running with cats and pirates goes

I have a pair too and think they are great for running. I neither feel comfortable nor safe wearing ear buds, and the bone transmission technology seems to work well enough. I find you need to put them on charge each time you get home, the battery doesn’t always make it through a second run if you forget.

I first came across the technology on the ‘tech deck’ in what was then Ben Ainslie Racing (it has a new name now thanks to a new sponsor). Not sure whether they actually used Aftershokz or something different, but bone transmission was how they solved the problem of being able to communicate with each other but also hear what was going on during the Americas Cup.

I think they are great. When I first put them on I was convinced anyone near me would be able to hear what I was playing

Bit like listening to a stereo in your living room. Good quality music but still aware of all of the background noise.

You might run further than me. The need to get to work interferes with weekday runs. I shall out them on charge now though.

Hi Roni! Yeah. We're gearing up for the trip.

Baddie has been sending out some private messages so hopefully you got yours too.

See you Saturday! 😁
