Did 9K + 😬

Great run into the wind, quite exhilarating really - even better when I turned to run back...certainly went a bit faster, nearly got swept of my feet.

There were sheep and lambs in the fields - Spring is here, might not feel like it, but it is. The sea looked menacingly grey with magnificent waves crashing on to the beach - fabulous.

Happy running everyone, and have a good weekend 🌻

Sounds like a brilliant run Gran4z. Blowing a gale up here too....."refreshing" would be the euphemism!! Almost glad I am grounded until Tuesday 😊. I love running within sight of the sea. It's an ever changing back drop ....really inspiring. Great effort πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

So has the physio grounded you? What is the outcome of the visit - are you being required to be patient? Such a rude wordπŸ˜‚.

I think you are in the same area as me if I remember rightly from past comments made by you. Certainly windy on the downs, nearly ran along the tops but thought better of it, think I would have flown.

Thanks for your encouraging comments...keep positive, you'll soon be running those hills again. πŸŒ»πŸ™‚

The north east corner of North Yorkshire is my domain! Only grounded until Tuesday when I can start again with a 3k. Achilles is the problem, but no tear and ultra sound plus massage has made it feel much better. Swimming with fins was probably the cause πŸ™„Will I ever learn!!

Ah ha, thought you were a Hastings person. Bet it's stormy your way today then. Thank goodness it's not a torn Achilles that would have been a disaster. Good it's feeling better. So it's no fins now, I guess. No, we never learn, but keeps life interesting - maybe. We simply keep pushing ourselves, don't we? But we ain't gonna stop either!! Onwards and upwards to the next mishap πŸ˜‚πŸ˜³πŸ™ƒπŸ™‚ - all good clean fun!

Dead right Gran4z. Hastings is a bit like up here (only been there once!) ..... historically susceptible to invasion from the sea....you got Normans, we got the Vikings. Lovely people they left behind too😊

Thanks Fab450. It was a steep uphill run right there, so not sure I was going anywhere fast 😳. Good excuse to stop and grab a quick photo and catch my breath 😎

Can’t let little miss UNM see the photo or she’ll get excited about it being lamb season... I’d best get some mint sauce thinking about it.

Great run, and well done getting out in the wind.

Personally I prefer red currant jelly, but to each their own πŸ˜‚. Happy days 🌻

I don’t eat the stuff... but when she notices them in the fields I’ll have to order one for her!

Well done πŸ‘πŸ» 9k + in this wind is fantastic! I had enough trouble walking with the dog πŸ•

And the lambs are just so cute 😍

I love reading these posts about people having great runs in the wind, and yours is no exception Gran4z! Very well done! πŸ‘Š

I’ve yet to do a proper seaside run, apart from on hols last week and a small part of one of the parkruns I attend. I do fancy it, I must admit, and I’m close enough to the coast to make it doable. 🌊 🌊

Awesome running. You’re a star! ⭐️

Thanks ccpmunks. We have a beach ParkRun here now - it’s a very windy, chilly one at present and flat! πŸ™‚πŸŒ»
