February was not a good running month. After my fastest 10k so far (1.00.56) right at the beginning of the month, I went down with a cold that went right on to my chest, with lots of resulting coughing and spluttering, which lasted 3 weeks. I managed to continue doing parkrun (although I probably shouldn't have), but not surprisingly my times were significantly worse and that last 1k was really tough!
This week has been the first time I've really felt better, so it was great to be able to complete 10k on Wednesday (3rd fastest!) and a much improved parkrun at Portsmouth Lakeside this morning (missed a PB by 6 seconds).
Best of all however was feeling well and being able to run with a clear chest - as Joni Mitchell said about something completely different 'you don't know what you've got till it's gone'!
Happy running VRBs - hope all your Marches are better too! π

Snap to your pants February JP...mine was injury plagued rather than illness. Being mortal is a considerable handicap for we runners!! But....onwards and upwards. March looks promising (apart from the possibility of snow storms and pestilence) and we need to look forwards rather than backwards, if only to avoid running into trees. Glad you're back in full trim and attacking those records again. π₯π₯
