Just wondering who has been posting on this forum the longest.

And also who joined Couch to 5k/Bridge to 10k before going on to do unimaginable distances and super amazing things.

There are pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page going back years Sara, the furtherest I looked back at was 3 years ago and only recognised one name who is still on it today.

I’ve been here ages 😁

Off the couch, to C25k (aged a gnat’s away from 57), and never stopped. Two marathons done and the next one booked 🙂

I think you were one of the first posters on here. Didn’t you use a program from someone called Sammy and you posted links to the program, if I remember right.

I did C25K then Bridge to 10k, not done anything too remarkable since then, but am now gradually stretching my longer runs out.

I think people tend to use the forums mainly when they are doing there programmes and then maybe move onto other platforms, I use Strava more these days than the HU forums but like to dip in and out every now and again, especially if I am looking for advice

"not done anything too remarkable since then" 🤣🤣 not sure your pre-c25k self would agree with that! 😉

Lol, maybe you are right, a timely reminder that none of us should underestimate what we have achieved, thank you GoGo_JoJo

I'm not a long time posted, but started C25K in May. In January I did my first half, and I've recently done an 18 mile training run with my club (who I love). I seem to be luck and have taken to running like a duck to water.

This forum didn't exist for many of us when we graduated, there was only the C25K site. I've been on the sites for five and a half years but there are a few who've been here longer or around the same time.

There have been amazing achievements with some going on to Ultras and beyond but sadly, many just disappear from the forums and we have no idea what they do. Let's hope they're all still running 🙂

My ultra plans are dashed 🙁. I’d given up several races to make way for it but a sudden wedding announcement means I’ve got to give up on it My son is getting married in the US. I’ve managed to get a place in my fave local race though, one which I would have missed had I done the ultra 🙁

Can't he postpone it until you've run your race? Honestly 🙄😂😂

I've been on C25K seven years... B210k is newer and I can't remember whether I joined it straight away or not.

By my standards I have gone on to do unimaginable distances and super amazing things, but we're talking continuous running for over 2 hours, 13km furthest so far and some fabulous views. So you'll see my imagination is easily surpassed and I am readily amazed.

Well, 2 hours and/or 13km sounds suitably amazing to a Newbie who started Jan 2019! Don’t knock it. 😄👍 And here you are still running 7 years later. If I can do that, I’ll be delighted. 👏🏼

I know. I considered not going to the wedding 😁 Kids ey 🙄.

I am the world’s worst traveller 😬🙈🤢🤮. The one positive is that there’s an historic covered bridge at the venue. Well, somewhere in the 650 acres of venue 🤷‍♀️ 😃.

I guess I should answer this 😀. I was the first person to post on this forum because it is my baby. It didn’t exist until 2015. I had a word with Heathunlocked and asked for a forum that C25k graduates could get a bit more technical as they progressed with their running. We started the forum in September 2015 and that month we had two people, then October 2015 we had the grand total of 245 members and we have grown from there because of the dedicated people that stay around and help each other.

Wow, you secret superstar! And now 7000+ members providing help, support and encouragement (and badges). You must be so proud of your offspring! It’s a brilliant forum.

I am proud, thank you, I love these forums so much, they are full of the most wonderful inspiring people who genuinely want to help their fellow runners, they would be nothing without every single member that contributes on all of them.

Well Rfc, I didn't know that you are responsible for this magnificent, life changing forum.

That is something to be immensely proud of.

Thank you for starting this all. I'm sure you have changed many, many lives and probably saved more than a few too.

Thank you 💐

I am, thank you. In the early days on the forum we used to call ourselves the “quiet anti obesity movement” and I still think of us as a health movement that quietly saves the country a shed load of money. 😀.

Well done and thank you Rfc, this forum is the glue that holds us altogether after completing c25k. I wouldn’t have gone on to 10k without it I’m sure. There is so much work goes on behind the scenes to keep everything working so many thanks to all admins and mentors, we are very grateful for the time you give.

It's all a question of perspectives...prior to starting c25k I couldn't imagine running a mile willingly.

Once into the vortex of the programme suddenly 3 miles becomes reality, you start to think of 5. Reaching 5 you dream of 10. Having cracked 13 I know I'll do 15 and I suspect I'll certainly get to 20. That's pretty super amazing to me 😉

Amongst the forum there are amazingly genuine and wonderful people who actually do super amazing things every day, and not just in their running. That's what makes this community so very special 💛

I started on C25k forum in April 2018 and continued using when I moved to Bridge. I use it very little now as most of my fellow graduates are on Facebook and Strava.

I’ve continued to run though and still have the support of my forum buddies. I’ve been benched a few times but always come back to running. Furthest distance is now 10 miles. Pretty amazed with myself! 😬

And you amazed me Ripcurl , such an inspiration in those early days. You took to it like a duck to water. Sorry I can’t get to grips with the facebook thing but just say hello on here every now and then. 👋👋

Oh thank you Dexy!! But I was just like all of you. I’ll say hello to our buddies for you. Happy running! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️👍🏼
