Still lumpy around the left ankle, but not painful. Very happy. Even though every other jogger ran past me a zoomed off in to the distance. As usual 🙂
I don't think I was well enough hydrated, and there were a couple of uphill bits, but the last couple of km were amazing, breathing was totally controlled at 4 paces each inhale and 4 each exhale (usually I'm at 2 and 2 by this stage in a run) and I was capable of saying hello to everyone I passed instead of just grinning. Maybe this is my natural pace. Tried to go quicker at the end as wanted to get home 😊

Well done pirate , the pace is great. I bet you didn’t have to have an afternoon nap like I did. 7k feels great doesn’t it ? 6 felt too close to 5 to be an achievement but now we’re really with the big kids.
Hmm, I think the 'big kids' keep running past me Maybe I'll feel like that when I get to 10. I didn't mind the last 2km, felt like I could go on forever although thigh muscles were tightening up. It was the first 5 that were a pain! I HAD to stretch after this run.
Haha! Thanks - I promise I won't! I will probably find the longer runs more difficult to do in the mornings due to the darkness - I don't feel that I can go out much earlier than I do as my OH worries about me. I've planned my 8k run for next week on a map thingy but may have to play it by ear - I am loving the challenge and the goal though! <3
Just to complement Oldfloss’s quote, I like “to err is human, to arrrrrrhh is pirate.” I see it every year in Cornwall...always reminds me of BTP!! Good 7k😊
I find it's very nice to be good at breathing...helps in all sorts of ways every day Thighs were starting to scream, but apart from that I felt like I could go on forever. Even ended on an uphill.
