Crikey....talk about windy?!! I felt like a bit of rubbish caught in a whirlwind in a shop doorway this morning!!! The only saving grace was the beautiful bright sunshine...what a change from last weeks soaring temperatures?? Well, when I say soaring..you know what I mean?!
How's everyine doing? Life has taken over, not from my running but from posting my running adventures to my favourite friends...although i have been lurking...all's going well, and yes, I am STILL on ju-ju- 's 10k plan...I feel like I'm re-taking my GCSE's!!! This morning was a gentle 4k...well, it wouldve been gentle in a lovely sunny breeze not not when storm Freya has anything to do with it!! The first 2k i was running into her, head on, she wasnt in the mood for runners....so i turned round to do the last 2k, had a brief encounter with loose stone at the side of the canal that had me picturing myself falling in! When I got to my faithful Bevlar bridge i knew i was nearly there...my friend was outside on his break puffing away on his fag, but he gave me the usual shout out, that always makes me smile!! So with a small amount of pressure on myself to keep going i will make it this time round!! I must admit though that I had a proper spring in my step last week when it looked like spring was here...now my daffodils are regretting their premature appearance and I'm sure they want to retract themselves back in!!! Bit like us really eh?? It's hard when the gremlins are telling you it's too cold, you're best off staying pinned to a radiator...or that it's too windy, you cant possibly run with your hair whipping your eyes or the secret escape of bodily fluids from your nose and mouth because your face is too cold for you to notice...but we have to keep on plodding on...we know that spring is just around the corner so try keep it in your step until then...happy running my lovely family...I promise I won't leave it so long next time xxx

Thank you Bluebirdrunner ...it def felt a bit like a battle, but I do like the wind just maybe not when it feels like 100mph!! These kind if runs def make us stronger.
I haven't posted for yonks...I don't want people to get sick of hearing my babbling on!!! But I def won't leave it so long next time. I just want to get to the end of ju-ju's plan!!! ๐ซ...I must be the worst example ever?!!! X
I am very well I am still running I aim for 3-4 5K a week , I did manage a 10k the week before last still at a snails pace though ๐ฅ. I havenโt posted for a while as I donโt want to bore people ๐ xx
Good on you Mummycav! Sounds like an adventure! I think I might have been put off by the wind! But you wrestled with Freya and won!! Great!! Roll on spring!! ๐๐โค๏ธ
Mummycav! Lovely post and ALWAYS a joy to read about your running adventures. ๐ Well done on getting out there and running in that wind - you are a braver lass than I. I get proper spooked by the wind, a bit like a cat! Hate it!
But I hope it left you invigorated my lovely. Good work. ๐
Definitely! It was like wading through jelly!! It didnโt help that my head had already agreed with me it was far too windy to run only to get home and have hubby say โI havenโt started tea yet because I know youโll want to get out and runโ. Bugger!!
Iโm glad I got out though, even though it was a killer ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Well done - I think lots of us have been blown along just recently - or found ourselves struggling to breath, running i in to a head wind!๐ฎ๐จ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
