Phew it's hot already, announced Mr grumpy as he set off for his bike ride. Won't go for a run then, thought I. Then CP2 messaged, she had just been for a run and it was ok under the trees. Good enough for me, off I went! Gentle little out and back, CP2 was right, there was enough of a breeze to keep it pleasant. As I came back to the end of the trees, the temperature suddenly rose, the breeze faltered, and my watch buzzed for 4k. I know when the cosmos is giving me a hint, so I stopped running there, and walked the rest of the way home. By which time I was dripping with sweat, and my face felt like it was about to explode with heat. Glad I stopped when I did, boy did I enjoy the cool shower that followed. Took about another hour for my face to regain anything approaching its normal colourπ π π Take it easy out there folks π
Just enough shade for a cheeky 4k: Phew it's... - Bridge to 10K
Just enough shade for a cheeky 4k
Glad you enjoyed your run today, pity you didn't take a photo of yourself immediately after you stopped running π πwas your face the colour of a π tomato? I think it would have cheered up a lot of us this Monday morning π , enjoy and relax for the rest of the day π.
Not sure my phone could have done justice to the luminous red I achieved Al, you'll just have to take my word for it ππ
Maybe that should be a post for this week, we all take a picture of our faces as soon as the running stops
Is the world ready, Buddy? ππ You go first π
Good for you Buddy34, not sure what causes your face to go red after a run, something to do with exertion, π especially if you you are very tired after the run, some faces are redder than others, especially during warm weather. π
I'm always a hot person anyway, don't want the heating on things like that. So my face is brighter than a tomato and shinning with sweat . I don't care though I'd put up with anything as long as I can runππ
Far too hot for me to run, glad you managed to find a shady spot π
I got out early enough and the breeze made it ok today. As long as I stayed in the trees that is - but for two pins I'd have stayed home, so I'm feeling quite smug now π
Good for you going out in the shade while you could GOG. Roll on the autumn! π
