Keswick Parkrun #24 for me today. I got to within 1 second of my PB (30:49). But I still need to find 50 seconds to get under 30 minutes. I did win the VM65-69 age category (in a field of 1 😉), but the icing is the age weighted at 56.54%. Not a bad morning.
This follows a good week with a PB over my mountain 7 Km, knocking 10 minutes off my best time for that (52:40). And a nice little 3Km high speed run to start Thursday.
Now battening down the hatches for Storm Freya...😱 We will have to see about running next week, it looks a wee bit wet'n'windy.
Hope your day is good too..

Yes, I wave to him (the 90-94 guy) every week. He isn't as tall as me, so that time is even more impressive. On the weeks he doesn't run, he is part of the volunteer crew. What a guy! Hope you are having fun Al.
I am having fun, tomorrow I intend to walk and run a little on what I now call "The ButtercupKid 5K trail", remember the photo of the boardwalk, I'll take a few more of other parts of it, it really is a beautiful place, mainly flat and very popular with runners 🏃and walkers🚶 alike. 😊
It sounds like you’ve had a good week theoldfellow. There’s going to be one hell of a party when we beat that 30 minutes. My bet is on you getting there first though. I hope I’ll remember how to run after 4 weeks off. ⛷❄️⛷❄️
Wow that’s a great 5k speed and 10 mins off 7km too. What a brilliant week. You are so close to your goal too. Great training plan. Fingers crossed for next 5k.
Good going. I ran that course a couple of weeks ago, although midweek. It’s a tough course that seems to be uphill both ways! I was well outside of my pb
I've never run any other Parkrun, so I have nothing to compare it with. My normal training runs are tougher. It's really good to hear your comments. Thanks!
