Starting again after a 3 week break

So I graduated C25K just before Christmas and until a couple of weeks ago had been running 30 minutes three times a week.

I have needed to take a break due to lambing (sheer exhaustion, I work full time as well as doing the lambing), running just hasn't been feasible.

I look like I should be in a position to start again next week, where should I start. I am thinking about going back to some of the C25K runs but am not sure which week to start on.

Any tips on starting to run again after a break would be much appreciated

Congratulations on graduating C25K.

As your 3 week break has been very physical I doubt you will have lost any fitness. But to get yourself back into the running habit why not do run 3 from week 5 (20 mins) Run 3 from week 6 (23 mins). Then week 7, 8 and 9. You can always progress faster if you feel up to it. Alternatively use the C25K+ podcasts.

Happy running. 😊 🏃‍♀️

Sounds very full on! I agree with 0505, and just take it nice and slow on your first run back. Enjoy !

I've just got a run in for the first time in, ugh 4 weeks. It was a bit achy setting off and seriously slow but that was all... I'd told myself 20 minutes would be fine... but I did the 30.

I think you could just get straight back into it. It sounds as though you're maybe just lacking a little confidence (probably due to being seriously knackered), so having the coaching on for W9 could be a good support.
