Just wait till I start my running again!! Cannot believe I walked so far in August!! I’d walked 7 miles in July ( on my crutches and boot) and was determined to build up my strength again, so much so that I upgraded from 50 to 75 miles in 25th August. And my calf muscle is just as firm as the other one again now.
3 more weeks and I should be able to start slowly running again. Back at C25k but at least I’ll be running 😁
And in the meantime some “ cheer myself up” bling.

Wonderful Lou, lovely to see and hear form you. Can't wait to have you back. Well done on your goal and the lovely bling. Not long now Lou...yay, big virtual hug
It never ceases to amaze me how runners keep their fitness and motivation going while on the IC. What a great inspiration you are to others. Very well done and congratulations on reaching your goal. C25K is waiting in the wings... Enjoy your journey. 🙂
Well done, limberlou! And great looking bling too! 😃❤️❤️
You’re going to be my inspiration in getting back from injury, as I’m waiting for scans to find out what will need doing to my “tendon” wrist issue (climbing IC) which the consultant I just saw thinks was a break that’s healed wrong. (Am visualising rebreaking horrors at the moment, but need to be patient and wait for their final conclusions...😕)
Oh good luck with that!! This is the first time I’ve ever had a break, albeit a tiny sliver, in 65 years!! Well I think the walking has kept me sane(ish).
Brilliant achievement and all that walking has to be strengthening the injury site. You got your medal already? They’ve posted mine but it isn’t here yet x
Yeah it came 3 days after I sent my claim. Strangely I haven’t walked so much the last few days as I keep getting a pins and needles feeling and I’ve had some occasional stabbing pains too. I rang the fracture clinic on Friday afternoon and she said make a drs appt on Monday and get it checked. Rest of the time it’s fine but a bit worrying
That would explain it as I didn’t upload my evidence till the last day of August.
I’ve had that kind of tingling and stabbing when things are healing. But you’re wise to get it checked. It sounds like recovering nerve damage but I don’t see how that could apply in your case. Fingers crossed for you
