Woke to a glorious sunny morning, and Mr grumpy was grabbing the chance of a lie in. So although I hadn't planned to run at all, I sneaked out for a cheeky little jogette while he was snoozing, just to shake out the niggles. I ran out easily and turned at the 2k mark, but I could tell that I wasn't recovered yet and shouldn't push it until everything had healed. I heard a skylark singing high above me as I headed back along the path, now that was unexpected! Stopped at the 3k mark and walked back home on the path skirting the field, that emerges at the end of my road. Startled a young family that were out for a stroll when I popped out from behind a fence, but they recovered their composure in time to reply to my cheery greeting π

Harmless 3k, no doggie torpedoes!
Thatβs great news!!!! So pleased π. Well done for not pushing it as itβs tempting at tines. It sounds like you are healing well.
Thanks, it's trying to find the balance between keeping these, er, veteran limbs mobile, and not doing myself a mischief! π
I realized a few days ago that I must have jolted my back, and that is settling down again now, fingers crossed π
Sounds like you are taking just the right approach - listening to your body
Very sensible grumps. I am on 3ks too, increasing by 500 metres run on run after tomorrow and no PB attempts until I see the physio again in 10 days time. Your encounter with the skylark really strikes a chord. Whether I am running or walking so often nature throws up something to make me smile and change my mood. You keep chasing skylarks ...but slowly for now π
sensible sounds good.... and you still got out there
