8.5k in the wind

Managed a longish run on Saturday - my days it was windy and unfortunately for me a fair stretch of my route seemed to be against the wind...so whilst i was peeved that my time for the km was slower, looking back at the battle i did pretty good!

A few hills incorporated...i can really see the difference in my ability now so another thing to be proud of.

Going out again tonight in more favorable conditions all being well :-)

Happy running everyone!

8.5k in the wind, and with some hills, is a great run. It’s not easy. Well done for getting out there. Hope today’s run has been good 😁

That’s brilliant. And in that blasted wind 💨 too. I literally cried my run on Saturday. Tears streaming down my face. Looked even worse than normal running. Blinking wind I need wind glasses.

I only managed 5k on Saturday because it was so windy and muddy I was in serious danger of being blown off the cliff path! Well done 8km is a fantastic distance under those conditions.

Well done alisonx ...running in the wind last week beat me...I had 50mph gusts blowing straight up my nose, I felt like I was running and fighting at the same time and worried I might end up joining the ducks in the canal, what a shock that would’ve been for all involved!!....so I gave up after 2k!! So hats (blown) off to you...you did good!

Thanks Mummycav. The wind here was not as bad as that thankfully but a battle none the less. Strangely i quite enjoyed the challenge
