Well....the wind has been pretty harsh here since last night and thereβs no sign of it letting up! But...LEJOG is on and every little counts. So, I got out there for a short 20 minute stint today. π
Itβs fair to say that the wind was not blowing in the right direction and it made it hard work at times, but I figured it must be good for me.....somehow π. That said, it was still warm, the rain wasnβt too heavy at the time and it didnβt spoil the enjoyment! So, all in all, a nice run in the fresh air. My biggest August discovery is that when itβs raining, I get to run everywhere, without seeing a soul!!π€...And I come home very satisfied that I was out there, doing my thing!! π€£π€£
On my virtual journey, I was still in Penzance yesterday after my walk βΊοΈ, right near to the primary school and I wonβt be much further after today, but hey....every little counts! ππ½ββοΈπβ€οΈ

Nice 20 minutes stint for you today FAB450, that little bit nearer JOG by the day, still in Penzance, you don't need to run but you could go for a 6 miles walk sometime during the weekend.
Thanks so much AlMorr! π€ Iβm in the early days and Iβm not a big planner βΊοΈ. Just going to take it as it comes for now. The main quest is really going out regularly again for this month. LEJOG is definitely added motivation though π. β€οΈ
As you say - every bit helps. Slowly chipping away at the distance there Fab450! Well done you for getting out there despite the weather. You've really got the bit between your teeth now!
Brilliant run, lovely when you get freedom to run where you want without avoiding others. Love the picture- as a quilter I totally agree. Happy running π€
Thanks so much Grannyhugs!! π€ It was the perfect quote as the LEJOG is for a year. Never made a quilt myself...but I think Iβm sort of making one now!! ππβ€οΈ
And πππ!! π€ that lovely 10 miler might be done π€π€....but not on Sunday!! I like the encouragement and the faith in my capabilities though! π!
The main thing is you will reach your goals in your time. LEJOG will be a good carrot (or chocolate bar π€£) to have you upping the distance steadily... itβs very doable even if starting from zero on day one, and yet challenging enough to be fun!
Thanks so much Beatlesforever!! π€ You know...Iβm genuinely just enjoying doing it every day. I canβt ever justify even a walk as being too much really. ππ½πβ€οΈ
You're a brave soul, Fab! I've been avoiding the rain (gale force winds & an enormous hill in Wales). Slow stitching and thinking about what you're creating, putting yourself and your love into a quilt is very therapeutic. Such a great quotation! Isn't this what we do with our runs - show some self care, absorb ourselves in the moment of a run? I'm going out for the first time in a week today and will run with this in mind. πβ₯οΈ
Ooh your run sounds lovely!! Iβll look out for it!! π€π€β€οΈ
You got it!! Bit by bit. As I like to say, 'You can't get from A to Z without going through the alphabet.' And this journey is your alphabet so keep going and achieving because each mile is a bonus. Each mile is a mile more away from zero and less from the total. I like to think of you as 'Fabulous on Tour' ππππ
π€£π€£π€£!! I love that!! Fabulous450 on tour!! Yessss....thatβs excellent, I like it!! π
Thanks so much!!π€ Iβm really enjoying it and thatβs my only criteria to keep going! Iβm listening to podcasts on my walks, so itβs really enjoyable too!! π€β€οΈ
