8.5k: a run of two halves

My longest run yet and the second half felt much more comfortable than the first: toxic ten was more like a toxic 30 if I’m honest! A couple of steady inclines and one short but very steep hill meant some nice downhills and some walking (I am still struggling with hills), so it wasn’t all running but it’s the distance for me: getting miles into the legs even if it means part of it is run/walk. Pace was extremely slow. Running in residential and industrial areas this morning so you can have a photo of my view as I sit on the front step to cool off 👍

Well done - 8.5k is 8.5k whether run or walked. And if you are running most of it then you are doing especially well! :)

I get toxic 30 as well! And listening to Coach Bennett today (5mile run) he said that second half should be a bit easier and faster so you are doing the right thing! Congratulations
