Sorry cheeky! Yes, I am quite stoked about it. I didn’t get this excited about the sub-29 but this is something different! I think the new shoes might have something to do with it as it was their first parkrun, so fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞 I have to say though, the thought of flying snails...😝

Well you know, you have to have long, elegant, pins to be able to do this...or in this real universe, short (‘very short’ according to Marks & Spencer’s tactful sizing names), chunky pins just like mine seem to do. Do you run wearing a watch that shows, say average pace, and then run to maintain a particular average or do you just run by feel and receive a pleasant surprise at the end!?

I wear a Fitbit that gives me pace but I totally ignore it until I’ve finished tbh. I don’t go out for pb’s either, it’s just like as you say ‘by feel’ then there is no pressure. I’ve done the same Parkrun 22 times now so there are a few visual clues like when the first speedy laps me and when I go past the tail walkers but that’s all.
