Kept checking the website and Facebook page to see if Lincoln parkrun was cancelled today. I kind of hoped it would be to put an end to my procrastination, but in the end I donned 3 tops, 2 bottoms, bobble hat and gloves and defrosted the car! A light covering of snow and snowflakes fluttering down but โonlyโ -1.5c. With the Course Directorโs words ringing in our ears - โYou lot must be madโ, โYou run at your own riskโ, โI donโt expect any PBs unless youโre a first timerโ, โSub 20 isnโt safe in these conditionsโ (Oh well thatโs OK then ๐คฃ๐), off we went. It wasnโt actually as bad as I had feared, although getting a bit slippery on the 3rd lap. Parkrun website is down, so no official time yet, but Strava time 34:52, which isnโt too shabby. I was boiling by the end though ๐ฅตOh, and I bought my first pair of size 12 jeans in over 10 years yesterday. Happy day ๐๐ Stay warm and stay safe VRBs ๐โโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

Fantastic that you were able to get out and do parkrun Sandie. I just had 2 tops and 1 leggings so I didnโt get hot enough to want to discard anything. Maybe I wasnโt putting enough into it. ๐
We got our result email but canโt get into the website to see how everyone else did.
Thanks Dexy. Well done to you for getting out there as well!๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป If somebody had said to me a year ago that Iโd go running in snow, Iโd have thought theyโd gone totally nuts ๐๐
Well thatโs a good excuse not to do a sub 20 then! I was considering doing Marple but it was cancelled. You did well to get out there early enough for Parkrun. Well done!
