Epic fail 😩

So my planned first 10k run this weekend didn't happen 😩 The friend I was going with had to pull out the day before due to illness and despite trying to motivate myself I just couldn't quite get motivated enough to go on my own - it was over an hours drive and I would have had to get up at 5.45am on a Sunday in my defence πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I did do another 10k route locally instead and managed a pb of 1hour 11 - but have still felt like a bit of a failure all day. On the bright side without the race looming I don't think I would have kept up the training over Xmas so every cloud I guess.....I need to find another one soon to keep me motivated and also get more people involved so I have back ups next time πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ thanks for everyone's suppprt though - onward and upwards πŸ‘πŸ‘

But you still ran - and you ran in a great time! No fail there. πŸ‘Š There will be plenty more races for you. πŸ˜€

Hope your girlfriend is feeling better now. 🀞

Ruthymc you ran a 10k and did a PB. That’s amazing given the change of plans. Great run and nope can’t see the fail ? πŸ˜€

Wow! Well done you! You had a big set back with your friend being ill and not being able to join you and yet you still went out and not only run a 10k but in your best time to date! I call that a massive success! Congratulations! Well done you! 🍾πŸ₯‚πŸ…πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜ŠπŸŽ‰πŸ‘β˜€οΈ πŸ’₯⚑️ πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ If the whole country could do what you did, what a different place this would be! I know you didn't take part in the race and that must have been a big disappointment, but wow! I'm seriously impressed! And well done for keeping up your running over Christmas, that's brilliant too.

I do hope that your friend is recovering now.

Well Done for getting out and doing 10k today even though you didn’t do the race. To be honest, 5.45 on a January Sunday morning on your own? I’d have done exactly the same.

This is no different to us doing a My Poppy Run, when we couldn’t take part in the race on a certain date. So give yourself a pat on the back and a round of applause for your PB, and if you have the medal, wear it with pride. Whoopie πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰

This is some previously unknown definition of 'failure' - what I would call an absolutely brilliant success.
