Woohoo 🙌🏻First ever 10K

Yaaaaayyyy!! I’ve done it! My first ever 10!! I was very emotional so please excuse the panda eyes in the photo 🐼. It wasn’t particularly fast (pace 8.57 time 1hr 29mins 34s) but was challenging having to dodge the slippery icy spots on the road. If anyone had told me a year ago I’d be running 5 never mind 10K I’d have thought they were bonkers and would have laughed my head off 🤣 but I’ve only bloody well done it!! I’m off for a long hot shower and a celebratory breakfast of fresh coffee and croissants 🥐. Happy Saturday to you lovely running guys n gals 😘

Don’t worry about how fast. That’s not the point. You nailed it by going steady. That’s the way to conquer these distances 💪 😃👍

Thank you miss wobble! Was conscious that if I didn’t stick to a steady pace I’d never have done it. The croissant and coffee were delicious 😋😘

Where I live in Cumbernauld we even had little snow last night and that made the pavements a little icy this morning, despite that I ran a little and saw 6 other people running at about a 35 minute 5K pace.

We had a wee flurry of snow in Ayrshire on Friday which turned to rain and froze over 😬. Well done getting out there too - it’s difficult enough as it is without having your wits about you to dodge the icy spots 🙌🏻

Good morning AllyS I was wondering if I should go for a run or a walk this morning, I settled for the walk, I 'burned' 496 calories with 11,203 steps, I saw 21 runners and was tempted to have a run as well, but I had walking 🚶 boots on so I just kept to a brisk walk, have a great day. 😊
