Completing the 10K to work.

I'm currently getting to the end of C25K and can cover 5K in around half an hour. I'm considering running half way to work and then power walking the remaining 5K. Does that seem reasonable or would I do better to walk then run? I still plan to include a minimum five minutes warm up and cool down. Prior to C25K, I was walking the 10K to work in around 80 minutes.

I think that sounds like a great plan, great idea

Running first gives you the option of running further if it’s feeling good .... 😝

You could play around with it, sometimes do intervals (run/walk/run/walk), sometimes run the begining, sometimes the middle and sometimes the end. Might make it more fun...

Well done on beating the diabetes with exercise, that's impressive 👍

I think that sounds a great plan! I think I’d run first. A) To give you the flexibility to run a bit further if you fancied and B) To give you a bit more time to cool down before you get to work. 👍

Enjoy! 👊😀

Welcome SkiMonday Why not sign up for juju’s magic plan and get to 10k over 8 weeks to fit in with going to work. You could run Monday Wednesday and Friday and walk on Tuesday and Thursday or if you like parkrun on Saturday, run on 2 days during the week. Well done for combatting diabetes - I was able to do the same with hypertension. Running is great!

Thanks for the suggestions. Think I'll start with warm-up, run, walk then try mixing it up a bit.
