Bracknell parkrun - no.17

Completed a very muddy parkrun yesterday, in freezing conditions.

I probably should have worn my trail shoes, but ended up changing the colour of my road shoes to brown instead.

Run went well, and got my fastest 'heavy going' time (my personal unofficial stat for muddy parkruns).

Did my first volunteering on Sunday for the junior run, which was fun. It was definitely colder marshalling than running!

The temperatures really are dropping just now.

Great you got your parkrun done and volunteering today also. Well done you 😊

Congratulations on not just running in that mud but also for volunteering. Great to support youngsters in any activity but when it’s one you participate in too that’s special

Well done Charliemouse, I was talking to someone last Saturday who volunteers at junior parkrun so he can always run at Saturday parkrun . It must be so much fun watching the juniors.

The best bit is giving them all high-fives when they run past. It's hilarious.

I did my first muddy parkrun yesterday too - my shoes are still drying out.

Good run for you today, just think of those volunteers standing in around the minus whatever in the cold having to get to their position on the course about ten minutes before the run starts and having to stand in the very cold until the tail walker at the end passes before going back to the finishing point.
