Clare Castle parkrun - no. 9

The 100th Clare Castle parkrun was the venue of my 9th. I didn't realise it was their anniversary and just picked it because it was the nearest interesting location.

Many of the locals ran in fancy dress, and pretty much all of them beat me. Including the kids (of course). Let's just say I was resoundingly slower than superman, a chainsaw murderer and two dinosaurs, amongst others.

My run went well. Not quite as quick as last week, but my second quickest and definitely more hills, twists and turns.

Glad you enjoyed your run today, at least that chainsaw murderer didn't harm you when he lapsed you. 😊 🏃 I thought dinosaurs🦕 were extinct, no way, they seem to have returned and run along with us humans at races from 5Ks to the likes of the London Marathon.

These dinosaurs seemed much more rubbery than I remember from Jurassic Park....wait... Jurassic parkrun!

Ha ha ha! I think if I were approached by a chainsaw murderer, I might get a fantastic PB! 🤣

He was quite motivating, especially as the ‘chainsaw’ made a noise. Unfortunately he was also faster than me, so I would certainly have been a victim.

Sounds fun !!

At least in the public eye you were probably safe from the chainsaw massacre

I was beaten by a (real) dachshund two weeks ago!! The shame of it. Btw I was happy with my time despite that!
