All ok so far. Though I'm being quite careful to only do short runs on alternate days. No noticeable changes to how I feel after a run and it's definitely stopped me slipping into the post school slump I usually feel bogged down by whenever work stops.

However I do know it's only 16 days all together - am in awe of Hidden 's December effort!

Bar injury or illness, I guarantee you will feel the same at the end of this streak. I have FEWER problems with tiredness or motivation. Some days I think I would rather sit at home, especially if I leave it to the end of the day, but I always feel fine once I get out there, even if some runs are harder than others, and I never regret going. Yesterday I didn’t even think I could run at all, yet I was hardly any time behind my usual for 4K. Even though I had that long slog up to Headington and thought I was running more slowly than usual.

I think you have it right in doing shorter runs in previous rest days, and that’s worked for me. Because the challenge has a minimum time or distance, it’s been easy to get a reasonable run while doing the minimum on tireder days.

Well done. Glad your knees are bearing up.

The great thing about the streak is that there is no internal debate- you just have to go! I had some work to this morning and normally having done that I wouldn't have felt like running. I am just off now- also plan to do 2.5, in the fog :)

Yes - I think that's very true

Unless you commit to running every alternate day even if you're doing 3 runs a week there can be a temptation to say I'll have another rest day. I definitely couldn't manage it when I'm working - it feels like a treat in the holidays to be running as often as possible in the daylight, but would become another obligation in term time I think.

Hmm, I'm making a mental note for when I've been running for 9 months that this might be something to try. Thanks for the inspiration ladies!

That’s the thing Ive found too, you have to go, then you find you can!

I did this during my summer holidays too and found it quite liberating
