Sitting here, torrential rain.OH on train.Waiting for boiler engineer and impatient to get to the gym.This forum and C25k programme has just changed my life forever.

I am just taking stock of my first full week of strength and HIIT.Trying to understand what my body is telling me.
Just feeling that I am beginning to float.π
Last Monday started with a 5-6k outside run and then 12 sessions in the gym amounting to 2.5-3hours per day for 6 days.
Running clocked up 31k and the same walking.I started off by keeping HIIT/ sprints a day apart from strength.
My all body strength workouts have always been mixed with 5 min running and walking intervals to keep my heart rate raised as resistance m/cs invariable are done from a sitting position.Of course in a gym there is a balance of remaining focused but being appropriately sociable.Although I have less time for those that attend a gym just to exercise their tongue.I am very tolerant if the subject is running.
I have started sessions by warming up and using my quickest 5k pace over 800m of 8.1kph.But this warm up is preceded by a 3 part warmup, all body and heart rate increase,legs only usual stuff and 5 min walk at 5.5 kph.
Thatβs me I am ready to HIIT.30 seconds to be all out, followed by 4.5 mins at 5.0 kph walking and heart lowering. Actually finding my calves ease off during this period also without an interim stretch.
I started off at 11 kph and over the week I am comfortable with 13 kph and climbing.
I also find the distinct daily separation is becoming more mixed in a natural way and I am just going to go with the flow.If every day becomes the same and my recovery,sustainability and overall quickening is good, then so be it.I am not going to fight this.
Planning now to have a structured approach over the next 3 months to measure this fairly loosely for all distances from 100m-10K.
