Wk 1 of the 10k with planks completed!

Hi all! Hope your all fine.

Well this morning I managed to complete the first week with out any traumas! So this morning managed to run 5.69km with only one stop and that was good. Then back home to complete me planks. Can’t hold them for long though! 😤Have done three this morning counting to ten for each plank hold. Is that enough Ju Ju ?

As I was running up hill albeit a wee bit slow there in front of me coming towards me was another female runner. Then as we turned to go the same way I kept behind her some of the way but I have to say she left me standing on the hills. She was fab! Of course she was taller than me so longer legs which I think equals bigger strides? 🏃‍♀️🤣🤣 and also I think I maybe had 10 years on her if not more! She looked about 40-50ish! However she was kind, waved, smiled which gave me encouragement. Then when I eventually made it to the top of the hills after following her for a while she had gone! Perhaps I just dreamt it 😔🤣🤣

Anyway I still had a great run and I can feel myself getting better even though it’s going to be a slow B210k I’m not bothered as I’m doing it for myself and at the minute I’m thoroughly enjoying myself. Just to get out into the open air etc is so joyful!

So Sunday I’ll start the second week. Shall I run the easy one first or the harder one umm!🧐 can’t decide.

Happy running all and have a great weekend🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🤗🤗

Well run and well planked,Peggy! 😁 It's nice when other runners are friendly - I often try and catch their eye so I can smile (or grimace!) in solidarity but a lot of people don't look up 🙁

Thanks Mutley! Yes it is nice when other runners acknowledge you. I’m pleased to read that you have your joy of running back. Sometimes we have to just slow it down a bit and take a breath then get out there again.😃😃

Happy running!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🤗🤗

Wonderful Peggy! I too like to smile at other runners, but I dread it if there’s a slowish one in front of me and I have to overtake (it’s a very rare occurrence I hasten to add!) I go by so slowly, but I always say hi or something else monosyllabic!

😅🏃‍♀️🐌

Thanks cheeky! 🤣🤣 Ha! Luckily there’s not many runners in my village and I’d find it difficult to overtake because of the hills🤣🤣❤️x
