I was very pleased to get back to trying to push my Keswick PB today, after the weeks of holding back. Generally a good solid week's running 3.2Km, 4.5Km, and 5Km today. I am starting to get back to where I was in the Summer (remember those hot days?)
Wet and windy today, and I think a much smaller turnout than usual because of it, maybe 175 instead of the 250 we get on the good days. I'll come in about 150th and 34:30 when the official results come out I guess (Strava thinks I was a PB 33:56, but I don't trust it).
Hope the rest of you lovely runners are having fun too.

Good run 🏃for you today, the weather no doubt does affect turnout at parkruns, but you are very hardy and athletic, a little rain does not stop you from running, 34.30 is really good, enjoy the rest of the weekend 😊
Weather does make a difference - well done for fighting your way back to the distances and I'm delighted with being able to run that time, so it's all relative 😆🤗👏
Very pleased to hear you felt comfortable to push a bit on your Parkrun. Well done to you on a god solid week's running. 👏🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻 I am not sure about your thanks to Oscar, perhaps I missed or have forgotten something that you wrote previously.
Lovely to see you getting back to parkrun theoldfellow despite the wind and rain. I haven’t had to do one in the rain yet but I know my time will come. It was very windy on the south coast today though and I get out of puff.
and it turned out it was a PB too. So I am over the moon. Always glad of your encouragement. Rain while running isn't the problem, it's covering the car seats so they are not soaked for the next week, or finding somewhere safe to change.
Yes I will have to think that through when the occasion arises. I guess put a dry change in a plastic bag and change when we get to the cafe for bacon butties 🥓 🥪 .
Congratulations on the PB! I went on a new 5.2km non-parkrun route this morning in my nearest town and really enjoyed it. Both of us are back on the road!
