Well I got up to Blenheim Palace early on Sunday morning for the annual Rotary 5k (my 1st). Starter at 10.30am,. Was very cold and foggy to start, but that soon cleared for a lovely sunny day. The run was lovely and scenic, around the lake , over the bridge. Very well organised i thought , must of been about 600+ runners. I am finding running with others in an organised event easier than running on my own, more distraction I guess , less boredom. I got a PB of 29.39 π. Defo book for next year.
Blenheim 5k: Well I got up to Blenheim Palace... - Bridge to 10K
Blenheim 5k
Well done to you scorp322 for competing and running the Blenheim Palace rotary 5K with a PB time of 29.39.A very regular contributor of this site Flick also was running at Blenheim Palace and she also reported that at the startline it was freezing.
Congratulations! Great time too - I do think the adrenaline of larger events helps us run a bit faster! Well done.π
Thatβs a fantastic time, well done to you, and good luck to many more running events
Thanks , poppy run is the next one !
Top time! Always great running with others. Congrats! ππππππ
Thanks !
Well done scorp322. A great place to run I should think. Did the 5k have less hills than the 10k?
Don't know what the 10k route was like , i don't think there were anyway hills.
Congratulations to you! Sounds like win, win, win, win! π
Well done did my first park run agree itβs better running in a group!
Ooh that's a great PB and a great result for your first race. Congratulations π
Thanks Linda.
Nice to see another writeup. i was doing the 10k. wasn't it beautiful that day! the results are up on their website now.
I am still aiming to reach 5k in 30 minutes so that is a great time! I ran the 10k and it was a very relaxed but well organised event. The misty morning was cold but it was also magical! I'm lucky as it is my local running ground.
Congratulations! I also ran the 10k, such a lovely place to run
