Hi all. Well can you tell by the title what this post will be about?

So let me begin. Awoken from a beautiful slumber by our oldest lab (Jack) being sick in the hallway! So there we were trying to get him out into the garden in case he wanted to be sick again as he was still wrenching poor love. All this was at 04.30 I might add.

Anyway we swung into action and between the two of us we resolved the situation.

So not being able to sleep we indulged in a cuppa! Then an hour later we had another cuppa!.

At that point didn’t know wether I’d go running as I was tired and couldn’t go back to sleep...but.........after a lovely breakfast and gave it an hour to settle out I went.

So the first 10mins was brilliant ,not knackered, not tired, good breathing ! Oh this is wonderful! And that continued. The weather was well windy🌬💨💨but so far no rain even though it had been raining and it looked like more to come.

It was so windy that even though I had my music with me I ran nearly all of it without music. At some points especially before I left my village and headed into the farm lanes

The wind was so strong through the trees tha it was hard to know wether it was the wind or cars coming through so no music for me so I could hear probably. Actually it was very nice listening to nature rather than music for a change.

Obviously there was the usual cow poop💩🐄.And lots of leaves branches blown down etc. Still my running was going great and even ascending the hills are getting easier.

🤣🤣 As I went on my way I managed to shout morning to the farmer as he was riding passed me on his quad bike with food for his cows. Also I have now been able to sing the happy birthday song all the way through as an experiment to see if i’m able to run and talk at the same time.....It worked!😲🎼

Then as I was heading home ....the heavens opened and I was soaked ,muddy and glasses needed wipers. Never mind though a great and my third run of the week in the bag yippee!

So even though I was up early clock, feeling tired I was pleased I went out. Apologise for long post.

Hope you are all safe and are having a great weekend.xx👍🤗🤗❤️

Sorry for Jack the dog being sick " Peggy59" perhaps that was due to something he ate. Glad you liked your early morning run despite the wind. Running through country lanes and through woodland with the wind sounds really nice, you don't need music especially as the wind was so strong that it was difficult to hear it. I just hope that Jack the dog is not sick again.

Thank you so much AlMorr. Jacks fine now so don’t know what it was that upset him. However he’s much better now and still managed to eat his food👍😀

It'll be an early night for you then Peggy. Well done on going out for a run even though you must have felt knackered. It's very windy isn't it? I keep looking at my poor young trees and they're taking a real battering.

I hope Jack is ok and you can all get a decent night's sleep 😴💤

Sounds like you were in the zone and running well, Peggy. 😊🏃‍♀️ Sorry the rain caught up with you. ❤️❤️ Hope you both get a better night’s sleep tonight!

Thanks MD ! Yes it was a good day today. So now I’m defiantly going in for a 10K race next year if not more. Today I really felt that it now is achievable yippee! I have to say though the rain was ok as it had been warm all the way 😂😂

Hope your well ❤️X

Well done for overcoming the adversity and an easy excuse for not running. I'm sure you're learning that it's always worth going out for a run and sticking to your plan. Running is good in so many ways, including that mental toughness and determination both to get out and to keep going when it feels meh!

Thanks Flyingred! 👍I know what you mean. I was determined 🤪to get a third run in this week come hook or by crook! and I managed it and I’m so pleased I went out.It was either that or the treadmill so it was a no brainer really!

I really had a good run and I thoroughly enjoyed it!🤗🤗🏃‍♀️X
