I don't seem to be receiving email notifications when people I follow post. I've nearly missed two posts about massive achievements this weekend (Ripcurlrana71 's 10k and JoBC 's Half Marathon) only coming across the posts by chance when scrolling down the feed.
Anyone having a similar problem or know how to fix it? xx
EDITED fixed by changing my email address. Was using an old account which redirects to my Gmail - using my Gmail address now and everything appears to be back to normal 😀

Sometimes there are glitches on the computer system anywhere on the Internet, usually it sorts itself but if the problem persists get onto your Internet Service Provider and explain and tell them about the problem, by the way I completed my first 5k yesterday😊
Gosh I didn't even know that was there! Didn't need to change anything though - it was all ticked to receive notifications on posts from people I follow x
Nope! I've just changed the email address I use on here as I was using an old email address that was then being forwarded to my Gmail account. Could you possibly do me another test to see if that's fixed it? x
I literally have no idea 🤣 I'm a tech dinosaur - had a Nokia brick until 4 or 5 months ago! I'll ask my boyfriend in a minute. He works in IT so might be able to fix it x
It is quite weird like that. I have missed loads of posts from people I follow.
I thought it was because I'm not on here as often as I used to be. Sometimes life gets in the way, but I'm still running - in fact I managed 21km in record time on Friday 2hours 2mins and 42 seconds. Well it was a PB for me and all part of my training for the Windsor Autumn Half Marathon on the 20th October. Now apparently I have to taper...
Hope all is well with you and that you're having lots of happy runs.
I haven't been on here quite so much since term started in September either. Well done on that PB - fantastic time!
I'm on the IC at the moment with a hamstring strain. Apparently running stupidly fast over short distances isn't a good idea when you're over 40 - who knew?!? 🤣😂 Don't think it's anything too serious but going to take time to recover so it doesn't become a recurring problem.
Good luck with the Half - hopefully I'll get the notification xx
I'm OK thanks Tasha. Think I've just been overtraining my hamstrings. I quite often do kettlebells on my rest days and that and a combination of sprinting and over stretching in yoga are what's caused it I think.
I can walk and do the stairs pain-free now so am going to start some stretches I've been given for recovery today. Don't think I'll be doing anything other than slow jogging for a while! xx
