On a tight schedule today so was up early to get the run in before travelling. Then kit layed out ready to go (no capri’s involved).....phone call 📲 . It’s just before 7am, must be important, though when I pick up the phone, I know it’s possibly not. But, I answer! Mistake! 😨
A lot of small talk, (did I mention it was nearly 7am?) and then a lot of negativity about someone I hardly know. Please?? 😣 I honestly wouldn’t mind if this was about them but it wasn’t. All efforts to move the conversation on to much more uplifting things, like the holiday they’ve just come back from (ignored as usual), so as it’s approaching 8am, I decide it has to be wrapped up and say my goodbyes. Another time, but not now! Now a run is more than needed to shake it off.
It was a short benchmark run which was ideal. Not much time for anything else anyway. I didn’t really get into a flow but I did it! I didn’t really shake it all off (slightly miffed), but I did it. Great 6.49 pace for my 3 minute segment, so I’m very happy with the results all things considered. (Correction 6:45 pace! 😆)! Maybe slightly miffed works, but definetly not as much fun! And you know I like my fun! 😉
Back to running free on Thursday while I’m AWAY!! 🤣😁

Goodness...who makes phone calls like that so early in the morning???? Anything after 10pm and before 8am I consider to be emergency only! You must be a very good friend / relative to be picking up the phone and willing to talk, and for so long, and with a run on your mind. But well done for getting out there and staying committed to your run. x
I assumed it was a work call - so glad to hear that it wasn’t 😆 Glad the run helped to get to into a better frame of mind, even if it didn’t completely shake off the miffed feeling.
Oh I probably wouldn’t have answered for work. I try to keep some boundaries! Just my family who needs some now! 😂❤️

Becomes a pattern over time Flick! I do say, but this one! The answer is just don’t answer in the first place as she has very selective hearing! I was saying “ got to go!” “I’m travelling today”! ...Sister ”ok, catch you later then”!......”So, what shall I do about”! 🤦🏽♀️! Can I get an oxygen mask! 😩 😍!
You obviously haven’t got all your sisters out running yet Fabulous. Enjoy your next run - there’s probably some advantages with working away from home. 🏃♀️👏. I keep looking at the wind forecast for my long run tomorrow eeek - I may have to contend with a short one till next week. Unless I find a 8k run in a northerly direction. 🤣
Yes it’s pretty windy out isn’t it? I’m escaping the worst of it too I think. I do live far away already. Funny, they were mortified about how I would manage moving away from all the family with work and my two boys. I laughed in my head at the time as much as I’m doing now! Still love em! The cherubs! 🤣
I have 4 sisters. I have often wondered how I have become the font of all life’s knowledge, when I’m actually the youngest of 7!! I’m not sure that’s how it’s meant to be! I guess it’s too late now!! 🤷🏽♀️❤️
Wow! Youngest of 7! Sorry to hear of that stress so early in the day, such a shame, but glad you got your head in the run anyway. I am so stressed when I am forced to change plan with things that I have made specific time for - you did really well to get out there under those circumstances!!!
Yes! Youngest and sanest of 7! 🤣 They do have too much unnecessary drama sometimes. It was a frustrated run because of that, but I was caught out today and lesson learned. I’ll be so on it next time! 🤓❤️
Is it Wednesday? 7am is late... 2 bloody thirty for me... so I’ve slept again while little one was in school... so I guess I’m kinda a morning runner today, just not sure which day it is!

Oh Fab, you’re so polite. I’d have had to cut that kind of conversation short at the best of times, let alone before 7am, and especially before a run (nothing gets in the way of my runs thank you very much!) I’m guessing your friend isn’t a runner. Clearly not, or they’d realise!
