I decided to start the Bridge to 10K today, as it’s my birthday. I feel that as I reach a ‘new age,’ I’m ready to mark my special day with the start of the next phase of my running journey.
I graduated C25K on 23rd August and have been running 5k, three times a week since. All my running history has been outdoors, which at times has been a struggle (as a lot of my routes have included numerous hills). But thanks to my generous family, I now have a fab new treadmill (and it would be rude not to use it). I’m hoping that this will encourage me to run regularly throughout the winter months ahead (although I do still want to venture outdoors when I can).
I feel thoroughly spoilt and enjoyed every second of my 2.5K run and I also wore my new Garmin watch (birthday gift to self). 😂
Who would have thought that I would be so excited to receive such gifts and eager for a run on my birthday!!! This demonstrates how great the C25K plan is and how running is becoming a new way of living for me.

Just take B210K slowly and steadily and you’ll get through it. I followed Ju-Ju’s “10 is the magic number” plan. There’s usually a ‘pinned post’ for it on the B210K community. 🙂 I found it excellent and graduated a few weeks ago. Just remember it’s not about time and pace, it’s about distance🙂👍

I acknowledge that my pace was fast today (as I found treadmill running easier) but I plan on slowing my pace as I increase the distance. I have made a note of Ju-Ju’s plan, thank you! 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️

Happy Birthday to you! It is amazing how C25k changes us even as to what we may like for our birthday gifts! Well done to you! Take it easy as it is easy to be injured pushing too hard too soon.
