Hi All,

Just knew I could not stay away too long without visiting briefly and posting.

Not injured, not running, no gym.Just gardening and infrequently contributing and sometimes catching snippets of runners progress.

The photo is the fruits of my labour to be dumped at a facility that produces garden compost, it’s a 20 mile round trip and I take 12 trailers per year.

Enough of the garden, perhaps get a few aerial shots when finished. If I can use collage, techie πŸ¦•.

More interestingly just wanted to say during my non running period, we exist to connect.πŸ€”

Someone on the forum had the astute awareness to offer me an observation without offense.

I did address the comment and have increased my understanding and self awareness of who I am.I do not need labels, paralysis of analysis, but I do thank the member of the forum for their comments.πŸ‘πŸ‘

It reaffirms the strength of this forum. It has made me a stronger person.

Still as daft as a brush mind you and I cannot wait to get back to running.

Obsessional yes, compulsive yes, work alcoholic yes, perfectionist yes, happy yes, hey let’s not me get heavy I am just a runner now.

Take care all of you on this place of magic.πŸ’₯πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯

I hope you get back to running soon πŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

Without being boring, too much detail, it gets shredded and reprocessed at two different facilities and offered back to the islanders for collection.Rationed out free and it is amazing manure.

Too far for me to do a 50mile round trip for a small amount.A trailer load might make sense.

Hey ho woman of steel.πŸ’₯πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’₯

Hi Tbae😊, glad to hear you're keeping well, I had a slight hip injury about 6 weeks ago and it seems to be better now, however, it did stop me from running so next week I will resume with week 1 run 1 and like our great friend Sallenson every other day I will run each round until week 9, that is my planπŸƒI bought a brand new Smartphone last Saturday and have already installed the C25K app, I chose Laura as my coach

Tbae profile image
Tbaeβ€’ in reply toAlMorr

Sounds brillant Alan.Good plan.πŸ‘

Yes I noticed Stephen’s plan.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘Going well alsoπŸ‘.But I do not think he has sorted out his mantra yet.Spoilt for choice, maybe confusion has crept in.πŸ€”πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚.

I will choose Laura also.MJ first time round in NHS One You. Only found HealthUnlocked wk 5 and the existance of Laura’s Podcasts. For me it is a no brainer now.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Keep up with your strength stuff also.

Missed some article recently, press I think, something about grip strength as an indicator of good general fitness.πŸ€”

Good to see you Tbae. Please pop in as and when you can, we need your wise words and observations. And some of us need keeping in order!

We can always offer hedge cutting/gardening tips for you to ignore if you like πŸ˜€ - you’ve already refused my idea of AstroTurf πŸ˜„.

No Annie, not refused.Going to price it out.Had my Lawnology man here and he has reassured me after this very hot summer the lawn will recover.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Your so kind. You are the wise one.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Maybe we should leave the order bit to Sallenson/ Stephen will give us all a good laugh.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Take good care of you and I must catch up with what you are doing.πŸ’₯πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’₯πŸ‘πŸ‘

We took the β€˜easy’ option of leaving the grass to its own devices with no mowing, just a bit of edging, from the beginning of June-late(ish) August - and it’s already back to being normal, very green and needing regular cutting.

In other β€œnews” 😊 I did my longest marathon training run yesterday - not fast, not pretty but 28k in 25C and no after effects, so pretty pleased with that.

Nice to see all your hard work producing compost for others Tbae. That must be some garden!

Tbae profile image
Tbae

Thanks Dexy.

It was 6 years back when I replanted it.Probably time next season to replant the beds.

The boundary hedges are 80 years old. So very mature privet, escalonia and fuschia.

I feel I have a responsibility to the hedges. Will do what is right for there maintenance in spite of difficult neighbours.

Hope all going well with you both.A good running team.πŸ’₯πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯πŸ”₯πŸ‘πŸ‘
