Sprint and strength progress.

Tomorrow I will be 3 weeks into this mashed up programme of 12 weeks duration.

Tomorrow should see the completion of 40x minimum one hour sessions.

It has grown and may well grow further. It consists of treadmill HIIT Sprinting intervals,as per Get Fit in 6mins, daily.

All body Strength 450 reps on 15 resistance m/cs, daily.

Core strengthing and toning exercises , 9 off , from the biggest loser.Twice daily.

Plyometric jumping as a HIIT session with plyometric blocks.Daily.

Lastly at present, looking to do the complete 60 approx, all body exercises from the biggest loser spread over a week.At least do the intermediate level number of reps and progress to advance reps.

Found belt speed has built up from 10kph to 16.5 kph for the 30 seconds intervals.

Found I can sail through 450 reps at moderate load settings in 20 mins.

A crude measure of my VO2 max has now registered an excellent level.

Looking to reset on completion of this 4th week and try and do 3 outside runs over the holiday period and the biggest loser core exercises daily.Return and commence 2nd month.

Have not dropped any weight yet from the pot, so I am going to be boring over Xmas.Certainly not looking to gain and undo the hard work.

Atb with your personal programmes and endeavours.

Fitness although desirable with huge benefits canbe fickle,it is hard won and quickly lost.At least I find that to be the case in senior years.

I am pleased you are enjoying your continuous running and going great guns Flick.Your the amazing one and still knocking off 9ks etc.

Really finding something from this mitochondria renewal perhaps and of course and perhaps an increase in VO2max.Definately finding being more energised.

Local funding cuts have kiboshed the Woodland Workout/Green Gym So not getting outdoors at present.Tbh Flick I think I can only focus on one thing at a time.

Poor males.Cannot multi task, cannot have children, get paid more, etc, etc, πŸ€”πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Keep clocking up your miles.

Running every day seems to be having s similar effect on me as your training is having on you. I’m fitter, losing weight, gaining more muscle and can run anytime of day no matter how tired when I set out

That’s Brillant Flick.β˜„οΈ

What’s not to like.

This jumping stuff on proper gym height blocks gives the same effect as the 30 second sprints , mitochondria renewal and fast twitch tissue/ muscles. It may even strengthen knees / joints providing you have no serious problems there to begin with.

Our bodies are amazing how given a chance they adapt and move to a supercompensation mode/ new level in anticipation of more demand.

You wear me out just reading about all these workouts Bob! A reset week sounds a good plan. It sounds like you’ve moved a long way from the β€œGet fit in 6mins” timescale! πŸ˜‚β€οΈ

What are you doing 450 reps of in 20 mins?! That sounds very fast! 😳πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

15 resistance m/cs arranged in a circle around the room.I just treat it like a cardio session with lowish load settings.Get on, select the load, and do 30 reps , then the next one , etc,etc.Done.πŸ™ˆ ,

at 0600 in the morning I steal a march by warming up at home and go straight to these m/cs. I am almost finished before anyone else is ready to start.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yes Melinda, I have, just doing my own thing and making it up.

The treadmill speed adjustment is not responsively smooth and I cannot be bothered to stop for 4.5 mins.So it is a compromise and more like intervals.πŸ€”πŸ‘πŸ‘

I am just muddling through Bev, making it up as I go along.πŸ™ˆ

I am passionate about this interest now, many say and do say, boring and obsessed,so be it.

For me it is here to stay, trying to apply the magic I get here at this community of HealthUnlocked.

It is an age thing I think Bev.πŸ™ˆ

I am certainly not going to die on a couch, if I can influence that.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Hope all going good for you.

I am well pleased your feeling better.πŸ‘πŸ‘β˜„οΈ

Full on is good Bev.πŸ‘

Burn out is better than fade out/fade away.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Got to keep chasing the bodies ability to super compensate.πŸ€”. The body is just so clever at repairing, adapting and responding to our further demands.

You are living proof of that.I remember things about your story and journey.

That and other stories on this forum is the core of inspiritation and example on this magic place.

Wait until you start marathon training, it’s all about persistence, discipline and structure, you’ll love it. Once you start hitting three consecutive days of longish runs and choose uphill to be one of them, you’ll see those calories go as they never went before. Obsession? Good. I like being obsessed. ;)
