My local runs have been getting faster this past week so I felt positive about yesterday's Parkrun. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot, with a light breeze. Anyway, I ran all the way, even the two slopes that I normally walk up. ๐ At the end I had taken almost a minute off my PB! That feels great! I'm tempted to do another local Parkrun next week, which is entirely flat, and where I got my previous PB. I never thought I'd think like this! ๐
Good Parkrun yesterday: My local runs have... - Bridge to 10K
Good Parkrun yesterday
Watch out Joy57 parkruns are addictive. I am up to 11 different ones now. Strangely, even though I could probably get my tourist status (20 different parkruns) within an hour or so from home we keep going to Marple. But we are tending to plan our holidays around parkrun.
And then someone told us about running-challenges.co.uk/
Thatโs what Iโve been doing this morning! Next weekend staying in Camden, so Finsbury Park looks the best choice, then the following weekend staying near Aylsham, so will give Blickling a go I think.... Very addictive ...
A minute off your PB is great Joy! Congratulations and well done ๐
Well done Joy, I love Parkruns too! Itโs so nice to meet people while running. I volunteered with someone just after Iโd graduated c25k and sheโd done it 3 years earlier and got to 10k too. Itโs a small world.
Maybe I'll volunteer one of these weeks. Going alone, I don't find them sociable, no-one seems to want to talk to someone they haven't arrived with (in this area anyway). I enjoy the runs though.
