Keswick Parkrun - I forget the number....

That's good isn't it? I've already lost count (5th, I think).

Someone this morning asked me (I was wearing my C25K Grad shirt) if I'd only recently started running. And I said 'yes, in err, err, err, May, I think, the week after the London Marathon' - which is true. I had to think quite hard to remember the days before then when I couldn't dream of running 100 meters.

Oh, and the Parkrun, pretty uneventful. My usual pace somewhere between 8/Km uphill, and 7/Km downhill, maybe 6.5/Km in the last half K. The watch says 34.42 minutes, which would be another PB, but I expect that now - we'll see what the Parkrun results say! (Edit: PR results in: 34:46 mins, yep, new PB!)

Thank you all for your support, beloved runners, and I hope your Saturday is as great as mine has been so far...

Well done on another run! It is funny to think just a few short months ago us grads did indeed dread running for one minute 😅

I’ve only been out for one run this week but hope to get out tomorrow.

Well done theoldfellow, another run towards your 50 t-shirt. I was marshal today so another one towards the volunteer 25 t-shirt . It’s amazing the progress made since May.

I signed up for the helper's roster yesterday too. I don't really want to give up running the Parkrun, but we do have to give something back for all this joy. Well done to you for being a marshal. 😘

It is fun cheering everyone on and they are so grateful. If you do the tail walker task it counts as a run as well as a volunteer. Or if you do sorting of tokens at the end you can run first. I spoke to someone who volunteered for the first time yesterday after running over 200 Parkruns I think he felt a bit guilty when I said I had done it 3 times in 3 months. Well done you.

You are correct 'theoldfellow' that was your 5th and best run so far (45 to go before your 50 t-shirt as dexy5 has mentioned), a PB, congratulations, a sub 35 minute 5k is a great achievement, those Saturday morning 5k park runs are becoming a wonderful habit to start off the weekend.

Imagine how fast you could go on a flat route now 😉

What's a 'flat route'? (n.b. I live in Cumbria) :-)

True 😂. But if you ever run anywhere else you will find it so easy!
