As you know Iโm on the Bridge but Iโve got a new Programme to pace myself with the aim to do a great 5k Charity Run in early September. This has brought so many new experiences to my running. And it comes with some of those same doubts, confusions, surprises and of course fun as the C25K!
Today was a 20 minute recovery run, where you just take it easy and relaxed. You stop after a warm up to stretch a bit (๐ฑ....๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ, but I thought just go with it!) and everything was ok!
I did feel a little discombobulated by the guided run conversation that I chose today ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ (Not enjoyable, but too late! ๐). Next time Iโll stick with the coach that the run provides. The lessons continue. Switching it up - leave it alone! ๐ค๐
The aim was to cover just 2k and I ended up doing 2.76 and it was a comfortable run. Iโm very pleased with that. My app reminds me that itโs a 6 week post grad running streak! Iโm not always pumped about getting out there, but I get out there!! ๐๐ฝ
Happy running Runners!! โค๏ธ

Thank you Equi. 6 weeks - I know!! ๐ฑ I only started tracking and using this app post graduation, so itโs actually been 6 weeks of โOut There, Donโt Careโ ! Amazing!! ๐๐โค๏ธ
Congrats on the 6 weeks! And for doing a comfortable 2+ K (nearer 3 than 2!) in the 20 mins - good going ๐ The guided run conversation sounds a bit weird though - at least you tried it to find out what it's about!
Thanks Eiralas! Yes, that particular guided run will be deleted from my phone. I didnโt mind the pause to stretch, but the conversation was meant to be funny, but wasnโt really. It was all about someone going faster than you should in a recovery run and being told to slow down. ๐ง Just didnโt work for me. But hey, thatโs a first disliked guided run and another adventure. ๐ค
OH yes, I'm most definitely enjoying the running and keep meaning to post an update! I'm currently on the 10k plan so running further and gradually a little faster! I just love it so much! ๐
Gosh, that must mean Iโm 6 weeks too! Almost managed the 32 minute running on empty run yesterday, but stopped after 31:46 as I wanted to punch Andy Puddicombe (STF up with the mindfulness ramblings and count me down before I die), but I did have my fastest average, so happy as first post holiday run. My next first, is going running with my running mate on Thursday, the first time in company. Weโll see how it goes! Well done us! Do you think weโll still be here for our year anniversary?! ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐พโโ๏ธ
Hey Dralimc Well done you! Sounds like a great run and hey 15 seconds shorter to quieten the frustration is well worth it. ๐! Congratulations on the PB too! ๐๐
Will we be running a year on? Hell.....yes!! ๐ช๐ฝ Like itโs oxygen!! ๐! Now the question is what running adventures will we have in the next year? Now thatโs the mystery. And you know what, we get to choose what we do! ๐๐โค๏ธ
Thanks Sybilw! I always think just go and the body will kick in. It hasnโt failed me yet. Unusually I do have a run tomorrow on this plan. A long one too! So itโs quite a different approach. ๐ฌ But I expect Iโve been properly prepared to go for it! And go for it I shall! ๐โค๏ธ
Thanks Peet!! Iโm using the Nike+ App. At first I was just choosing different runs and enjoying it. The App can also design a tailored programme for you and Iโve just started one. All good so far!! ๐
