.....is in the bag...just 4 more runs & my fifth will be the big 10k!!! I can hardly believe it! Was a bit later when I set off this morning, the sun was up so I chose to run on the more shaded route that I’ve found while I’ve been here on my jollies & i could see my breath which is a rarity. Everyone was in bed again (of course they were, they’re on holiday!!) I’d laid my kit out all ready for my run this morning, just a short 4k...have you heard yourself Bev? A short 4k?!! Tut...

The big fella in the picture was not happy at this strange English person trotting passed him, he gave me quite an intimidating glare that I thought I’d share with you...!! So DaddyCav has booked a hot air balloon ride for this evening which I’m a little bit scared of but C25k has changed me dramatically, I’m doing something that I never thought I’d do & this ought to apply to other things eh?? So I’m thinking if I can run 9k I can ride in a balloon right???? Watch this space!! 😬

Happy running everyone

OMG MC it'll be a-maz-ing!!! The views will be spectacular.... just think of it as being up a really, really big hill.... that's moving! :) Don't look directly down, look across and keep your eyes on the horizon, distant views. There'll be so much to see. After everything you've got yourself through on c25k, you can do it, no probs. Can't wait to hear about it! xxx

p.s. well done on another fab run :)

I’m dead scared!!

Oh no!! Are you not that good with heights? Is DaddyCav going with you? I think focussing on the views at eye level and not looking down until you are up and your eye naturally comes down a bit will help? They are quite big and sturdy I believe, not that I've ever been up, just seen others close up. I'm not great with climbing a big ladder, but on top of a mountain looking at the views is fine. Just think of it like that :) . I am sure it'll be really exhilarating & you won't want it to end. Good luck! xx

Yes he’s going with me...I’m not good with heights, I do like rollercoasters though, as long as I’m sat in a car where my feet aren’t dangling!! I’m sure I’ll be ok once we stop climbing & if not I’ll just sit in the corner rocking backwards & forwards!! Lol x

A bit of Dutch Courage (or vin rouge) might help beforehand! I am sure it will be unbelievable & you'll be down before you know it shouting 'again, again!' (rather than 'help, help!' :) ). Make sure you tell us all about it! x

Nice photo of that cow 'Mummycav' yes, not long now until the big one, the 10K, you will run that no problem, nice now for running as the weather is much cooler, a touch of autumn now where I live in Scotland. Come September, the season for 10ks, half and full marathons as well as 5k runs. I wish all the best for your forthcoming 10K, you can do it, of course you can. Best of luck for your hot air balloon ride with DaddyCav, you will enjoy that with lovely views of the countryside below.

Thank you AlMorr , yes, it is better running when it’s cooler & I suppose Autumn is the kindest season to runners!! I will def be posting my 10k success so look out for it!!!

It sounds great ... You can plan a long run from up there 😉 - have fun and 10k will be a doddle .. it's not so big once you get up close 😁

Thanks Richard7 ...when I did 9k on Sat I was sure I could’ve gone on to 10 but I didn’t want to break the rules & have Ju-ju slap my hands...!! That’s a great idea planning my 10k...take my mind off what’s really happening!!

Wow! DaddyCav is a keeper!! How amazing to have a balloon flight on your hols and in such a gorgeous area! It will be fine and you will love it. Never say never - my husband has been a hang glider & now paraglider pilot ever since we met 24 yrs ago and before then I wouldn't have dreamed of running off a cliff edge to fly over the sea - but I did it and it's been one of the best things I've ever done! Great run as usual by the way! 😀

Whoah!!! That is def something I would not be able to do...I am in awe of you for doing such an incredible thing!!!! I’m looking forward to it & im not if you know what I mean?? They look lovely floating along in the air & when I see them here I always wish I was up in that basket but now it’s a reality, I’m petrified!!! Haha..someone said it’s really peaceful up there?! It won’t be when I’m screaming “GET ME DOWN!!!!” 😂

SlinkymalinkiGraduate10 in reply to Mummycav

Just breathe & have confidence. For free flight you need very precise weather conditions so if there was any doubt on that front they wouldn't go up. It is a bit of a cliché but it is very still and peaceful up there. If you can run 10k you can do this! Enjoy... X

Your quite a lady. Up before the morning breath as gone and 4 runs of your 10k. Impressive😉👍

Fantastic! I just managed 9k this morning and hubby ran with me. I agree that it is life changing, makes you want to grab all opportunities! I hope you enjoy the balloon trip, l would be terrified too but would love to do it. Lots of deep breathing l think, to control the nerves! Pictures please!😊

Awww, well done Abaggs ....did you post about your run?? And how lovely of Mr Abaggs running with you?! I take it he’s a runner already & wanted to share the experience with you?? I’m of mixed emotions, I do want to do it as it looks so lovely & hot air balloons have something so enchanting & magical about them....it’s such a wonderful opportunity that I want to enjoy so I’m going to do exactly that...deep breaths & focus on the views & NOT the height!! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

What a lovely pic, like a painting. And you're doing so well! go Bev!!! also I have hot air balloon envy. You will be fine. Just relax and enjoy the view - it will be amazing and perfectly safe, like being in a plane except you will have the wind on your face and the fire above you xx

Thanks Hidden ...I’m doing my best & I’m my own time...the support on here never ceases to amaze me! Whenever I see a hot air balloon I want to be up there but now it’s a reality I’ve got butterflies...it’s not until 7pm this eve (6pm UK time) so if everyone could pray for me that might help!!! Lol xxx

Great run, fab progress, awesome evening ahead. Bet you'll love it when you're up there - look at it as practise for that floating on air feeling you'll have once you've run your 10k! 😊

Well done on your run MummyCav and enjoy your hot air balloon ride!

Do you know the song 🎵'would you like to fly in my beautiful balloon, way up in the sky in my beautiful balloon.........

Oh we can fly...'🎵it will be amazing!

No worries...just hum that song and enjoy the experience...

Brilliant, MC, just brilliant! You are doing so so well, and I am in awe of you sticking to the programme whilst being on hols. Having exciting new places to run must be a joy. 😘 Keep up the good work, it will be 10k before you know it! So funny how 4K really starts to feel like a short run! 😂

And wow I am so jealous of your balloon flight! I think I would feel nervous too, but “feel the fear and do it anyway!” What an experience. You will love it I am sure. Follow the lovely Fishypieface’s advice, you will be fine. Cannot wait to hear all about it!

wow well done, great pic and enjoy the balloon ride.... how exciting!!!

What a lovely run. And you are so close to 10km - fantastic. As well as increasing my fitness, I think this Bridge to 10km plan is making me so much stronger psychologically. It's pushing me to do things that I never thought I would do - like races and Pilates and stretching every night :) I bet you'll love your balloon ride over that wonderful countryside. My new motto is "We can do hard things". We can and we do!

Ooh how exciting Bev, I'd definately give a hot air balloon a go. I can see you up there now, counting the miles as if you were running them, haha 😂 You'll have a wonderful time and you'll have your hubby with you too, it'll be perfect. Take a pic for memories xx 😊
