A short 4K this morning to start me off on week 6....getting ever closer to the big 10!! Set off a bit later this morning & boy could I tell the difference in temperature!! I snook out while everyone snored their heads off...the sun was up this time, the sunflowers lifted their heads towards their master & I ran along the main road, it was much busier this morning, I think I was passed by 15 cars, it was only about 6 last run so it was like the M62!!! There’s something special about tourist running....if you’re on holiday & you’ve forgotten your trainers, go & buy some, you’re missing out!! and if you’ve yet to set off on holiday, make sure your running kit is the first thing you pack!!!!! 😉 happy running my lovely family xxx

Lovely pics Bev, and you’re doing so well. I love the sunflowers lifting their heads towards their master 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌞
Oh, I hear Tenby is a lovely place & very popular, I’ve never been, my best friend went there for family hols when we were kids, hope the weather is good to you 😉
Looks absolutely lovely!! You’re so brave running along the roads! I only ventured out once when we were on holiday and ran around the villa complex!! I had visions of myself running every other day exploring the island but it wasn’t to be!!! 😂
Ive just been to the supermarket & im sussing new routes while I’m driving...the house in the picture is where we’re staying 😊...you did well to run in the villa complex Sarakc ..any run is better than no run xx
Oooo, lucky you DebJogsOn ...I went to Cornwall in my previous life, 2017 BR (before running) & when I think of all the gorgeous places I could run there now, it makes me want to go back just for a run!! It’s a bit of a trek from Yorkshire so I’ll have to wait until we go on a family break there again, you will enjoy it so much I can tell. I love starting the day with an early morning run...the feeling lasts all day. DaddyCav has got something sparkling chilling in the fridge for some ‘night before birthday’ drinks so I think, at this stage, my next run will be Sunday when I will have sussed out another route...you’ll be in running in Cornwall, enjoying the scenery beforeyou know it x
Yes I heard there was going to be a huge hike in temperatures! We thought it had been bad here 😆- 39 degrees! That’s difficult to do anything in I should think. Beautiful views though - hope you have air con! X
Ooh looks lovely!! Sounds like you’re having a fab time...enjoy!! I’m gutted took trainers on mini Cruise the other week and never used them, just such a busy weekend never found time!! Maybe Switzerland later this month. X
Oh no?! Switzerland sounds perfect though, there’s a place I’d love to go to...& Austria...I want to sing ‘The hills are alive with the sound of music’ & twirl around like Julie Andrews 😍😍😍
I’ll keep that in mind! Do a quick yodel!! 🤣🤣🤣 looking forward to it.
Watch out for french cyclists on your Sunday run. They seem to come out in packs and it's the survival of the fittest on trails and roads! Glad you are having such a lovely time.
Really??!! My next run will prob be on Sunday as my birthday shannanagins tomorrow will prob mean my head won’t be up for a run on Sat!!!! They’d better watch out for me, one foot out & it’ll be like an explosion in the bike section of Halfords!! 🤪
What great pictures and a wonderful post. My holidays start tomorrow and I plan on running ALOT! Can't wait. I don't have to pack my trainers, I left my new trainers on the boat for all my lake runs and use my old shoes when I'm stuck in town. It's going to be a wonderful 10 days ☀️🏃🏽♀️⛴🏖
It sounds like your having a lovely holiday in the Dordogne. I am looking out of our amazing wide windows while still in bed in Grasmere and all I can see is mist - the beautiful hills have disappeared. Down to Lancashire next...... 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️⚽️
I’m going to be spending a week in Staithes in September so will pack my trainers - if anyone knows any good routes up there let me know! I’m in Devon, just north of Okehampton so if anyone wants to know good routes around my patch just ask!
Lovely post and photos. That is the thing with this new hobby. it really does give a different perspective. I took my trainers down to Devon a couple of weeks ago. Had a lovely run long the dunes then back barefoot along the beach. Got rather hot so only one thing to do. Jump in the sea!
Thankyou...Sounds perfect johnm12 ....I bet the barefoot bit was gorgeous? And yep, nothing else for it but to jump in the sea. When I’m coming back from my runs I’m so tempted to go jump in the pool!
