Count me in Ju-Ju, I tried to carry on a few weeks ago straight from C25K but it was too soon so have been running 5k for the last month and now feel ready to progress πββοΈπββοΈ
As long as I don't go too fast I reckon I could - do it once a week with stops. Staying on ju-ju's plan will keep me focused on actually achieving it without breaks π
Ju... I am tentatively going to sign up for this.. ( I enjoyed it twice before ) I have my consultant appointment next week....unless it is cancelled yet again..but I think this may help me to get back on track?
Count me in. I've lost my way after graduating from C25k last month and my runs are getting shorter instead of longer! Looking forward to a new goal and some structure to my running.
I know itβs not for you, we are all different and have different needs.Never be able to catch up with you or indeed JuJu.ππ
Delighted with my programme now.
Basically the marathon distance 42kπ€approx., divided by a week and 2runs per day.So 6k/day for 21days.
Then easy 4th running week of 22k which includes a 10K readiness run test, a gym strength test. But plenty other strength and cross training in that easy week.
Really happy with this stuff and have found I am getting much stronger and hopefully much faster and lighter.
Go you Abi, keep leading the charge.π₯πββοΈπ₯π
I'd like to join in please although I might stand on the bridge and watch for a bit til I've consolidated my 5km! Want to take it slowly but need a goal ππΌββοΈππ
Have four park runs so ready to move up am 68yrs suffer with asthma diabetes under active thyroid and just managed to loose 3 stone although I still have a way to go it shows it can be done please add me to list
I'm due to finish C25k in a few days and plan to do first Parkrun 1st September. I think I'll need encouragement to continue past that milestone. I presume its ok to pick it up a week or so late.
(I really can't believe how far I've come in a relatively short time with the help of C25k programme and the lovely people on the forum - I'll miss my new besty Laura though)
wheee I'm still going on the last one, just started week 7 so nearly done! Don't know if that means I should be added to this round, but I'd be happy to see my name there either way
Hi Ju-Ju, I did message before but just to make sure.... Iβm not sure if I need to be in this thread or a previous one..... Iβm currently just about to start wk 5!
Hi Ju-Ju, saw the written plan, now can't find it. It's the old brain not firing on all cylinders!! Mind you haven't got going yet, the very dull vertigo keeps knocking me sideways π±, but I will get there for sure.
I'm only just at 5 km. Graduated 1 week ago from C25K but hadn't been monitoring my distance. I'd love to bridge to 10 but think I should consolidate the 5 km. Is there a group doing this?
We are not running one as far as I am aware. But there are plenty of folk who are currently at this stage - what about if I make a post to see if I can bring you together to chat about how you're getting on?
Kids go back to school on Tuesday, so life can start to get some kind of a routine going again and that means making time available for running on a regular basis.
Can you please add me , I was enjoying doing the 3 half hour runs then did a few 5 k , had ju-juβs plan in my head and did the 6 k and decided that Iβd somehow started it so will persevere and see where I get to. Did the 7 k yesterday morning, really enjoying the sense of achievement it gave me.
I suggest you follow me (tap my profile picture to take you to my profile page, then hit the 'Follow' button) so you get an email update whenever I write a new post - including each new Magic update.
You can always unfollow me when you get tired of seeing my posts π
