No prizes for pace

Having only run once in the past 2 weeks this morning was a real test of determination. I caught up with reading the posts on here over a leisurely early cup of coffee. Inspired by @sarah65 completing her 1st 10k in the pouring rain I knew there was really no excuse.

Got my running kit on, remembered advise on here that the peaked cap 🧢 works well in the rain. Added light rain jacket and off I went. My goal was to do at least 5.5k (the shortest distance that qualifies as a long run). I regretted wearing the jacket at 2k point, I should have followed all the advice that just said get wet. Managed to complete 7k through sheer determination.

No PBs on pace but it felt great to do the run.

Well done O505k, it must be strange to run in the rain after all that sunshine. It was dry for us in the morning yesterday but oh so windy. 🏃‍♀️💦

We’ve now had it all this year, wind, snow, sun and torrential rain! ☀️☃️💦

I must confess I retreated to the dreadmill when it got snowy.
