Having only run once in the past 2 weeks this morning was a real test of determination. I caught up with reading the posts on here over a leisurely early cup of coffee. Inspired by @sarah65 completing her 1st 10k in the pouring rain I knew there was really no excuse.
Got my running kit on, remembered advise on here that the peaked cap 🧢 works well in the rain. Added light rain jacket and off I went. My goal was to do at least 5.5k (the shortest distance that qualifies as a long run). I regretted wearing the jacket at 2k point, I should have followed all the advice that just said get wet. Managed to complete 7k through sheer determination.
No PBs on pace but it felt great to do the run.
