Whew...not such fun in the sun...

Well, here I am....another run under my running belt...well, I don’t actually wear a belt so armband...second post of the day...I went to work this morning, I honestly do not know how you lot find the time to work & run, never mind how fantastic you are as runners I am in awe of those of you who do both, so DaddyCav let me off at 12...so who can guess what I did?? Nope, I didn’t go do the housework, nope I didn’t go do the shopping, which wouldve been quite nice in an air conditioned Sainsbury’s...yep, I went home, got my running kit on, drove down to the canal & faced W2R3head on....now, I love the sunshine, I was BORN to live in the sun, I love it....but not for 47 minutes today, I didn’t like it at all...I was seeking shade!! If you knew me I would never sit in the shade, I am full on sun....I managed my 6k and I am CHUFFED TO BITS!!! Let me tell you...yes, my pace was slow but running midday is not advisable by MummyCav...ever...my head feels like it’s going to burst.....and all because of the football...and not wanting to miss tonight’s match...if they don’t win I am going to hunt them down....

Phew ...MummyCav what dedication. I thought you were running this evening, before the footy. It would still have been a bit hot, but maybe a bit shadier... After would have been OK, but maybe not if you want to celebrate...⚽🏃

It's lovely to hear how keen you are to get out running....and you ran the 6k! Outstanding!

Thanks Jan...I couldn’t wait...I couldn’t wait to see if I could run 6k...& I CAN!!!! Even in the heat! So that’s another one ticked off on my chart....I will definitely be celebrating tonight and if England don’t win I shall just celebrate my own success!!! 🍾 xx

Ha ha thanks Ripcurlrana71 i think at about 4K I thought “mmm I’ve stopped sweating” then I realised it was drying before it got chance to run down my face I was that hot!!! Fire resistant indeed!!! I’m still boiling!! 😂😂

It was very sticky out there today, I think that is the hottest I have ever been in my life...but it was worth it now, I poss didn’t think so at 4.5k but I carried on because I thought of what I’d already run & I had less than that to go 😉

Well done, I ran yesterday in the heat so I know how you were feeling. Fortunately today was a rest day which involved taking my daughter and her friend for a celebratory picnic at the open air swimming pool, as she had the results from her degree and got a 1st.

I did do a few lengths, but of course someone had to look after their things while they messed about in the pool so I was forced to lie in the sun with my book.

So I’m impressed that you were running 6k. I hope you weren’t too disappointed with the football.

The football was a little disappointing, bit of disconnection between the midfield & front line but at least they don’t have to play Japan on Tuesday x

That's amazing! I love the heat & hate being cold but I actually like running in cold weather! Had a run at 10pm on Tues - it was lovely, so still and cool. Just starting week 2 as I can't always manage 3 runs a week. Good luck with week 3!

Well done for getting out there and doing it, pace doesn’t matter in these conditions...as you said ‘It’s another run under your belt” 🤗
