Still on track with the HM plan...slow and steady, after a glorious sunshine 10K on Sunday, and into Week 2.... Yesterday, glorious sunshine and some Strides on a totally deserted beach.
Mr OF taking piks and me realising, what a weird old thing I am.... and the way I run !!!!!! Oh my goodness!
But, the point of the exercise....lots of lessons learned from the photographs and the videos he took.. and I did try to remember those on a sneaky 3K this morning!
A sunny spot for lunch after a coastal path walk.. it does not get much better than this
Happy running folks x

Who cares how you run, so long as you are comfortable and it works for you. You look very relaxed to me, like you know what you are doing Glad you are enjoying your training.
Thank you...you are lovely.... it always shocks me, when I see myself...and when I realise how old I am!!!
I am happy with my running, but realised I do tend to, round-shoulder ..run... a tad....
I tried today to run tall .. and it did feel okay The training suits me now.. I have devised the plan for myself and at the moment it seems to be working! x
It was a terrific beach... no one else for miles... and yes, the best bit was, there were lots of images of me with both feet off the ground.. flying!!! I loved it...(that is probably why I decided to post the pikkie..I would not normally do this)... I was so happy
Looks great to me. I read you should picture your chest being pulled by a rope 45 degrees to the road. I always try for this, and relax my shoulders and don't clench my hands. You seem to have that all going on perfectly.
I like that advice... I think my bum was in... boobs ..hmmm Thanks!
We had a lot of fun and giggles... we pretended we were taking photos for a Running Magazine!!!! I did though realise so many things about how I run and yesterday , I thought about certain things whilst running and it did make a difference xxx
I had low trainer socks on and the run was a short burst only... the rest of the time I was on a hard sandy stretch... taking it gently! My Physio would be really angry if I did otherwise
Thanks you... ha ha.. Once I start to move in a relaxed way, it seems fine... and I was quite over pleased when i saw the photos with my flying feet.. I love that phrase..Hoverfloss. wonderful !
What wedding?!! I hate weddings at the best of times (all that hanging around before food, nah not for me) and I didn't get an invite anyway so I'll be off to a village open garden festival instead. Much nicer and I can eat when I want ๐ค๐ Haven't you got a marathon coming up this month? xxx
Oh I love a nice wedding . Ive bought my hat for Saturday , I am just looking for a dress to go with my velveteen slippers
The marathon was last month , I had to sack it . I had missed lots of training with illness and I was booked in for 3 teeth out on the Friday before I'm definitely going for it though next year . Who dares wins n' all that ! xxx
It was... and until we were just about to leave, not a soul except us... just the sand and sea..
I was unsure whether to post a pikkie of me, seems a bit odd...but I was so disproportionally happy with the flying feet ???
And I think it may help some of our more seasoned members to know , yes, you can run when you are older and also, that by seeing yourself run, it can be really useful!! x
You have inspired me. You look absolutely amazing, so fit and healthy. I want to look like you as I age, so, if I keep up my running, maybe I will...So, posting the picture was important!
It was so lovely....( the beach, not me) and with just us there, even better!!!
We had a super day and I have taken so much on boards since I watched the videos J took.... I never realised that I do have a slight tendency to lean forward in the first few minutes of a run???
Your day sounded lovely too... it would be great if it could be the same coastal path xxxx
Lunch was good too... overlooking one of our favourite little bays...
You look fabulous Floss! Great posture and do I see both feet off the ground? The holy grail of photos ๐ค I'm a bit frightened to ask hubby to video me but it's a really great idea.
You do... how silly is that!!! It was a very useful exercise.. and showed me so much...I am glad I did it... and have got things to think about... it was a really happy day xxx
Not as amazing and gorgeous as you.. and much, much older
But it was a brilliant hour or so... and looking at the photos and videos after... really useful... i can see all the areas to work on.. scrawny legs for one thing!!!
Running by the sea.. even for just awhile is o invigorating and just wow!!! xx
Lovely running posture there, dear Flossie! You look like an athlete, beautifully upright! That looks like a stunning place to run, all that lovely ozone from the sea...sigh. I have yet to run by the sea. One day...
Thanks so much... I am trying.. determined to age with attitude!!! The beach was one we have not visited for years..on the far side of The Lleyn Peninsula.... and no one there...the access to it is a very narrow lanes and a bit of a walk, which puts folk off... The Wales Coastal path runs past it and when the tide is out, some walkers do come across the beach.. but it was simply wonderful...
You look absolutely fantastic Oldfloss .... would you want to look like a 20 year old running? I think not.....your pic is inspiring, you are built for running I can tell....I hope to be just like you, body & mind xxx
You are so lovely...and so kind.. I am happy with me, ( or most of me)...
I have the most difficulty accepting that sometimes my body simply won't do what my mind says I can...( It is usually when moving really heavy objects !!!
I have loads to think about after watching the vid's and looking at the photos.... some are hilarious!!!
