Well this morning was my week 3 7k, I started early at 6.30 and decided to go at a slightly slower pace along my favourite route by the steam railway. It went ok, I passed the buffers at the end of the track which are at pretty much spot on at 2.5k (it’s a very small railway!) and continued on for another 1k before turning around. All in all it went ok, finally done a proper week 3, so its onward and upward to week 4 now :) Have a great running weekend everybody :)

Good work, orangeguy! You are progressing nicely. It’s fun, this B210K lark, isn’t it? 😁👌

Nice one . Sounds like a really good run. 7k looks a bit scary from where I am , but it'll be conquered sooner or later. Keep going!

Well it was for me too, today is the farthest I have ever run non stop. I slowed down a bit which helped but over the last half a km or so my legs were getting seriously tired but I got there.

Congratulations! I will absolutely be going steady and slowly to get there.

Grear run orangeguy, there and back works well on these longer runs! Well done you😎x

Great run, yeah I like there and back runs- I always go a little bit further than halfway so the coming back bit is slightly shorter and then just walk the last little bit. I don’t know why it seems to make it easier when I know the turn leaves me slightly less than the half the run to go.

Thats an idea, I might give that a try :) I know the way back always seems longer anyway even when its the same :)

Only a little bit , my watch measures in miles but then flashes up the kms s they come up. So I always work out roughly what halfway is in miles first. So... 7k is 4.35 miles ( I run 4.36 because Strava is a d**k about shaving a bit off every time) so I run 2.36 or 2.3 miles and then turn so that only leaves me just 2 mile or just over to run back. I know it’s the same distance in total but psychologically it works for me.

I run a more roundabout way through town at the Start then take a more “ as the crow flies” way home

Nicely done Orangeguy ( I love your name btw) well done!

Its a long story :) - very short version: my retirement business is named after the orange cliffs at Hunstanton because the North Norfolk coast is a favourite area of mine. So "orange" features quite a bit in my life, so I thought orangeguy would be a good a name as any, I'm not orange in a Donald Trump type way :)

I love it.... I did wonder if its because you are actually orange like Tango Man

Definitely not :)

Great run, it sounds like you are doing really well. And running by a steam railway sounds really scenic. I think we need a photo next time.

Well it's OK but the actual railway part is maybe not quite as scenic as it sounds, they only have about 1.5 miles of track and it looks like most of the rolling stock is in need of restoration, I guess lack of money is the problem. It's nice countryside though, the path follows the route of the old railway line all the way from Northampton to Market Harborough about 15 miles in all I think.
